For over 7 years he was the singer, bassist and songwriter of a band who rocked North Germany with a dark melodic grunge-rock sound. After moving to Berlin and being inspired by his influences Jan found his passion in electronic music. Making a tough decision to quit the band, he traded his guitar for an apc40 and 5x8Spur-Matrix and began producing and performing solo.
Today his sound can be described as a mixture of Radiohead, Muse, Bodi Bill, Stephan Bodzin and James Holden - a beautiful balancing act between melancholic, melodic electro-pop and euphoric minimal techno making Jan one of the most interesting and promising young artist in Berlin at the moment."

Don't wanna die young
I'm buyin' their cold, void satisfaction
Our poison each day, no reason to stay
New feelings in store
Alright, gimme more
We should have seen the ones who turned machines at once
We could have been the ones who left the scene at once
We could have been the ones who took the streets at once
We could have been the ones who left the scene at once
Could have been the ones who took the streets at once
Never gets old, my sad addiction
Let us now hold the satisfaction
Don't wanna buy gold, don't wanna buy love
'Cause now it is all sold
There's never enough
It's never enough
We could have been the ones who cut the screen at once
We should have seen the ones who turned machines at once
We could have been the ones who left the scene at once
We could have been the ones (ones, ones) who took the streets at once
We could have been the ones who cut the screen at once
We should have seen the ones who turned machines at once
You could have been the one
The lyrics of the song More by Jan Blomqvist explore themes of aging, mortality, and the search for fulfillment. The first stanza expresses a desire for neither old age nor premature death, and an attempt to find temporary satisfaction in material things that ultimately lead to emptiness. The second stanza reflects on missed opportunities to bring about change by taking action - cutting the screen and turning off machines that tie people down to a certain way of living. The chorus emphasizes the idea that the search for satisfaction and fulfillment is never-ending and never entirely successful. The mention of buying gold and love implies a realization that wealth and romance do not bring lasting satisfaction. The final verse encourages action, imagining potential for change if only people were to take the streets and really make a difference.
One interpretation of the song is that our obsession with material goods and the daily grind we tolerate do not bring lasting fulfillment. Instead, the song suggests that taking meaningful action towards change has the potential to bring greater satisfaction. Another interpretation is that the song is about the intense feelings of hopelessness that come with the realization that the search for fulfillment is never-ending. Despite a supposed "sad addiction" to seeking more, this elusive satisfaction never truly arrives.
