Their first album “Perhonen” sold nicely and it included a few hits (Their debut single "Valvon" was #1 in Finland).
Before Jane started to record their second album “V.I.P.”, one of the girls announced that she left the group. Now the group consists of three girls: Mia, Eeva-Leena ja Tea. In January 2006, Jane took part in the Finnish preselections for Eurovision song contest. There they performed two songs V.I.P. and Sivuoireita, but they failed to win a chance to represent Finland in eurovision song contest. heir 2nd album "V.I.P" is considered as flop and the group disbanded in 2007. After the official disbanded Tea Hiilloste has started a solo career.

Jane's version of the song was remixed by A Guy Called Gerald in 1992.

We Are One
Jane Lyrics

I keep seeing the same old faces
Don't know how much is true
'cause I lose myself when I think of
You
You
I walked around the edge
And I grew some roots in the talking heads
But I lose myself when I think of
You
You
We Are One (repeat)
Surrender to the power
That makes every moment lead to now
I guess that I've been through
A few illusions to get to
You
You
We Are One (repeat)
Where I am
I grow weary of the storm that leads me to
Wherever I think I am
Whenever I find
A different point of view
Grains of sand may throw me
Voices in the distance call my name
Memories beckon me
Back to where I once became
You
You
We Are One (repeat)

The song "We Are One" by Jane is a reflective piece about reminiscing on different stages and places in one's life and how everything, in the end, leads to the present moment with a significant other or a loved one. The artist speaks of having traveled to different places but seeing the same old faces, perhaps suggesting a feeling of being lost or feeling stuck, but at the same time, referencing the idea that everything leads them to the person they think of when they lose themselves. The artist also speaks of growing roots in the "talking heads," which could be referencing people who talk too much or overthink. The lyrics are infused with a sense of longing for a loved one with whom the artist feels a sense of unity, with the repeating lyrics"we are one," being a testament to this unity.
