He recorded his first single in 1999. It was called "Ben jij bij me", but it did not become a great succes. After a while Jannes met the producer Martin Sterken. With who he recorded his first album, "Bella Bianca".

His second album did not reach a great success in the Netherlands. It was called "Van Casablanca naar Napoli". Since this happened, Jannes has made several albums and produced numerous great hitsongs.

He joined a Satanic Cult at the age of 17 and started to write Satan's name on basketballs, while Frans Duijts stood on watch.

Singer is not the main job of Jannes. On weekdays, he is an experienced chalet builder. He has his own company in Hoogeveen.
