I think the cake in riddle #5 shouldn't be cut in the middle horizontally because a cake should be eaten fully in one slice from the bottom to the top. Generally cake's component at the bottom is different to its top and people want to eat them fully intact. So, the solution is cutting the cake only vertically by stacking them up. Cut 1: cut in the middle, you get 2 slices, then stack the other half on top of the other, Cut 2: cut again in the middle, you get 4 slices, then stack all of them 4 into 1 stack, Cut 3: cut in the middle again, then you get 8 slices.

Totally wrong ! train compartments have some lighting in them as well as in spots in the tunnels , so the man would not "see" total darkness as he had when he was blind. totally improbable outcome for that situation ! Sorry but there is no logic or intelligence here, just twisting of outcomes that MIGHT fit the problem. but hardly ever in the real world !

Agreed. I figured it out after the 2nd one and got them all right. However, they got #7 wrong. What can you eat, drink. feed your cow and plant with one money?...the answer would be corn. Corn is cow feed...not watermelon. PS you cook and eat the corn and save some for the cow, you milk the cow while it eats the corn. Then you can drink the milk and plant some corn.

I saw the image of the jar of milk and the plastic bottle of water and heard the question. When jar was used for both the milk and the water I immediately thought there aren’t two jars. Oh well. I’ll try harder next time 😉

@@lynziwolbrink2238yes it does. The riddle says you have to pour milk from the jar and water from the bottle into the bowl so milk and water are in the bowl simultaneously. Making either water or milk into ice first is the best/only solution.

Haha, got to science-y on the first one. I said to put salt in the water and very slowly pour the milk onto the back of a spoon so it slides down the spoon into the bowl and should be able to make a second layer. It's pretty cool!

There is a problem with the answer to Riddle 6: passenger train carriages are generally fairly brightly lit, meaning that
a) The man would have noticed the lights in the carriage when he took his bandages off.
b) He would have seen his reflection in the carriage window.
In addition, seats in train carriages generally do not face the windows: they either face forwards or backwards, or towards the aisle on the Tube.
Also, surely the man would not have been discharged from hospital until he had fully recovered -- or, in other words, until he had been ready to remove the bandages. It was irresponsible of the hospital to trust him to make his own way home before he had recuperated.

I came up with different, though technically correct answers to most of these... pretty much all of them except for the capital punishment one...
It was still kinda fun, though.
For the last one, man #2 could just step off the plank, OR man #1 could just walk forward, OR a third party could interfere, OR they would both die.

Honestly, you don't need the "right" answers to be smart; you just need one that works. The IQ scale does a poor job when it comes to measuring most forms of intelligence (coming from someone who scored a 178), so don't worry about getting stuff "wrong". I suggest watching this video with the intention to have fun and create your own solutions.

@Alvex Ok Yes and it assumes being blind means perceiving it as total blackness. In fact it only means being without sight. You can be legally-blind and still see lights, colors even make out blurry shapes. It isn't the same as closing your eyes. Ergo my comment about the writer's I.Q. having to match the user's. What I'm pondering is: how are the people (examiners) who determine these IQ tests, actually able to decide how smart the people are, who are smarter than them (the examiners)? The only way someone can measure everyone elses IQ, is if that person has the highest, and of all the high IQ people I know , none has ever drafted an IQ test.

The iq test creators study psychometrics, so they learn it. For measuring i think they just use statistic, so they create tests and measure how well people can solve them. What most people can solve is the average or 100 iq. I'm sure measuring high or low iq points is not exact, but better than nothing.

If you put the two bottles in the bowl, they count as dividers. In fact I'm not even sure the ice method works because one of the parameters says you need to be able to differentiate the water from the milk, but ice being a solid no longer counts as water. That being said, none of the parameters say both liquids need to be in at the same time, they only need to be in the same bowl. I would've poured the water in first, tipped it out and poured the milk in. All parameters are met in that case, if you take them literally.

For the first one I said that you just have to pour the milk in first and then pour it back in the bottle and then pour the water in and pour it back into the bottle if you want to. That way you technically poured both of them. I don't know that's what I thought lol😁

The problem with these riddles is that I apply too much logic and then it doesn't fit their answer or the riddle itself is too vague so the reader has to assume or omit certain logics for it to match the official answer.

I hypothesize that the guy in position 2 has complete control of the situation and tossed the empty gun to the man in position 1 after they were in position.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

I thought #6 sounded familiar. Rod Serling's "Night Gallery" episode with Joan Crawford. She was blind and had an operation to see. Operation was successful and she was able to see for a few minutes but she thought she went blind again cause she couldn't see all the lights from other buildings. She accidentally crashed through her high rise patio door and fell to her death. Power outage darkened the city.
