I've got no life in here when she's not around anymore
It's Sunday evening and the rain is pouring
I talk to the streets but they tell me nothing tonight
Tonight
She just had to leave
And she could not tell me why
Something 'bout a place she had to go on her own
And I'm no one to tell her how
To live her life with ghosts I don't believe in
Oh I'm worried sick, can't even think of sleepin'
I gotta head out to find where she's hidin'
She could be anywhere, this whole city's her home
I pray this town loves her just as much as I do
Oh, and then a fear hits me, she might be all alone
In the cold or even worse; being with someone she don't know
Tonight
She just had to leave
And she could not tell me why
Something 'bout a place she had to go on her own
To live her live with ghosts I don't believe in
And if I find her I don't even know what I'll see
She's never let me in on that
Her very self's so connected with the places she's in
It changes so much with time and space
She just had to leave
And she could not tell me why
Something 'bout the place she had to go on her own
She just had to leave
And there's no one to tell her how
To stand up straight to the things that are wrong
In a right way 'cause they are breakin' her down
Hope she's ok
Dance with coincidence, ignore that she's on
Smile, and let her go
You got to stand up straight
Pray for her later, let's hope she's ok
Dance with coincidence, ignore that she's on
Smile, and let her go
The song "Sunday" by Jarle Bernhoft is a heart-wrenching tale of a couple who are separated due to the woman's need to find herself. The first stanza communicates the emptiness the singer feels in his tiny flat without his beloved partner. He is worried and frantic that she left without a word, and is unable to find her. The lyrics convey his desperation as he reaches out to the city streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. The chorus repeats twice, emphasizing her need to leave and the singer's inability to understand why she had to go.
The second stanza conveys the singer's fear of finding his partner, despite his desperate search. He has never been let into her inner thoughts, and he knows that she is deeply connected to the places she inhabits. He hopes that she is okay, dancing with coincidence, smiling and letting her go, rather than trying to control her path. The song is a powerful reflection on the nature of relationships, and the need for individuals to find themselves even if it means temporarily leaving their partner behind.

TOTALLY TALENTED!! Totally..CREATIVE....Totally mesmerizing. I love this song and this artist. AND the fact he can do what he does..and hold the audience in the palm of his hand. This is who I'd pay that Beyonce ticketed PRICE, lol. No bells, no whistles, no smoke...just raw talent. Im a singer myself and I draw from stuff like this, I dare to be different.

This song is...AWESOME. He kills it 4:52. Very soulful yet smooth. His music needs to heard more as oppose to what's being heard now. Very nice alternative to someone telling me I'm their trap queen. #throwbackr&b
