Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
(It was a one night thing)
Yeah
Yeah
(One night stay)
Yeah

Jason Derulo

Would ya mind girl if I told you
Last night really blew my mind
Would ya mind girl no disrespect
But can we do it one more time
Should I hit you up, should I just give up
Tell me should I just walk away
Would ya let me in, should I just give in
I need to get you back on the stage

You're so amazing remember the time
Just thinking about ya gives me butterflies
So open the curtains and let me inside for more
You can save the bell cuz I want you now
Baby hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, so hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, so hit me with an encore

An encore (ohh)
An encore (ohh)

Would ya like girl for me to touch you I can come and press rewind
Take it right, rubbin your back chase your body every night
Should I lay you down should we do this now
Tell me when, just give me a sign
Are you in or out cuz there aint no doubt
Make this night the night of your life

You're so amazing remember the time
Just thinking about ya gives me butterflies
So open the curtains and let me inside for more
You can save the bell cuz I want you now
Baby hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, baby hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, baby hit me with an encore

An encore (ohh)
An encore (ohh)
An encore (ohh)

Ohhhhh baby hit me with an encore
Ohhh so just save the bell cuz I want you now
Baby hit me with an encore

You're so amazing remember the time
Just thinking about ya gives me butterflies
So open the curtains and let me inside for more
You can save the bell cuz I want you now
Baby hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, baby hit me with an encore
I want some more, I want some more
I want some more, baby hit me with an encore

An encore (ohh)

An encore (ohh)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Jason Derulo's song "Encore" describe the artist's desire to repeat a sexual encounter with a woman he had a previous one-night stand with. He reminisces on their experience and expresses his longing for more, asking if she too would like to repeat the experience. Despite his eagerness, he asks for her consent and respects her decision, whether it be to engage in another encounter or not. The chorus highlights his strong attraction to her, wanting more of what she has to offer.

The lyrics are straightforward, and the song's theme revolves around intimacy and sensuality, portraying a sexual relationship that may not have a larger emotional connection. The chorus's repetition of "baby hit me with an encore" emphasizes the desire for more pleasure, creating a sense of urgency and longing.

Overall, "Encore" is a typical contemporary R&B song that explores the themes of attraction and sexual desire. However, it is worth noting that the artist does not objectify or disrespect the woman in the song, which is refreshing in a genre where objectification is commonplace.

The way he says Jason Derulo in this song. I SPAZZED THE FUCK OUT!! I was like daaaaaaaaamn lol. And them piano keys oh man. Love this song. I always imagined him slow dancing with a girl in this video. Him twirling her around and them rocking back and forth and JD holding her close to him. Damn I wish. But this song hit me right in the feels when I first heard this. Love his self title album. Along with all the rest that followed suit.

jason derulo's older songs sound a lot better back in these years compared to what he made recently. his newer songs from his more recent albums are just okay. they're just more slow and kinda dirty that can easily offend people. plus his old songs were more of a fast, happy joyful type of feel.
