Journey
Jason Manns Lyrics

By myself with a million people around
Observing, preserving, and serving my own mind
And curious at the things I've found
I'm alone but I'm not lonely
I'm with the only person that knows me
I'm armed with my guitar and I'm armed
And my journey is underway
I pulled into town yesterday but I think its time to go
I can't tell you where, because I don't know
And I'm armed with my guitar and I'm armed
With Emotional Scars
And my journey is underway
At times I feel like I'm the only one who cares
But we've got troubles and we've all got pain
We need to realise that we are all the same
And we're armed with our guitars and We're armed
With our emotional scars
And our journey is underway
The lyrics of Jason Manns’s song, Journey, poetically depict the feeling of being alone even in the midst of a bustling city. The singer expresses how he feels isolated despite being surrounded by a million people, but he remains curious about what he’s discovered about himself. Armed with his guitar and emotional scars, he’s ready to embark on his journey, one that’s filled with uncertainties.
Despite embarking on his journey, the singer can’t predict where it’s taking him. It’s as though he’s on this quest of self-discovery and acceptance, navigating through the unknown. His guitar and emotional scars seem to be the weapons he’s relying on as he explores this uncharted terrain.
Moreover, throughout the song, the singer acknowledges that he’s not the only person going through this, implying that everyone has their own battles to face. This realization makes the singer feel less alone and encourages him, and everyone else, to embark on his journeytowards self-discovery.
