The only thing I will say about the mark point is at the end of the day the show itself is for entertainment for us. However I agree with Kevin that he should license the tech to other companies. That's too much money to be left on the table. The sharks' offer of 30% for 600k was a terrible deal since his company is now valued at 70mil. He did the right thing by not giving out so much equity. I see so many people hating on this guy but honestly I don’t see anything wrong in his conduct. He asked for a fairly reasonable valuation and he was unsure because the sharks were trying to squeeze his head and sell the lifetime of his work at a massive discount. Kudos to the man for standing his ground.

So wrong. In his own words, they wanted 30% for $600,000 instead of $1.2M, for a $600,000 discount. But consider how much he would have made by having them on board. He'd quadruple his business easily. Instead of the valuation being $6M, it would become something like $24M. His 70% would be worth 16.8M., which is almost triple. And all it cost him was an extra $600,000. He listened to his ego and ignored the math.

The sharks were trying to rip him off. He had already proven the scalbility of sales and they gave him an offer and half his company's valuation at the time. He recently sold his company while it was doing roughly $20 million in yearly revenue. He absolutely made the right decision not entertaining that offer. The sharks missed out on the easiest 4x ROI they ever had.
