I remember 5year old me at my grandma's house singing (really shouting) the chorus of this song and grandma would join in and we'd sit there and sing together. That was one of my earliest moments of true happiness I can remember.
I moved to live in another city shortly after that and the next time I heard of my grandma was 11years later when they told me she'd passed away. I couldn't go to her funeral to say goodbye but thanks to this song,I feel like I never have to. It's like she's still with me singing along with me😂

This song really hits hard for me because after nearly losing my life from a roof accident where I fell 34 feet and nearly died I remember coming out of a medically induced coma and this was the first song I heard and since then it has always meant more to me than most songs...February 2022 I am still Forever Young and will keep this masterpiece on repeat and never stray away
