Radhe Radhe Vrndavan-eshwari
Vrsabhanu Sute Devi, Devi
Pranamami Hari Hari Hari
Radhe Radhe Radhe Sri Radhe! Radhe Radhe Radhe Radhe!
In Jaya Lakshmi's song "Radha Pranam", the lyrics pay tribute to the Hindu deities of Radha and Krishna. Specifically, the opening line "Achutya Kesava, Sri Radha Madhava" refers to Krishna as the "infallible Lord" and Radha as his "beloved" or consort. This line celebrates the divine love between the two deities, which is often the subject of Hindu mythology and philosophy. The following lines, "Jaya Jaya Vrndavan-esh-wari" and "Radha Tapta Kancana, Sri Gaurangi," further extol Radha's beauty and status as the queen of Vrindavan, a sacred place in Hinduism associated with the life of Krishna.
The chorus of the song, "Radhe Radhe Vrndavan-eshwari, Vrsabhanu Sute Devi, Devi, Pranamami Hari Hari Hari, Radhe Radhe Radhe Sri Radhe!" is a prayer of devotion to Radha, who is identified as the daughter of Vrsabhanu and a goddess to be praised. The repetition of "Radhe" in the chorus serves as a form of prayer or mantra, inviting the listener to focus on the divine feminine energy personified by Radha.
Overall, "Radha Pranam" is a celebration of Hindu mythology and theology, specifically of the love between Radha and Krishna and the importance of devotion to the divine feminine as represented by Radha. The lyrics and music serve as a form of meditation or prayer for those seeking to connect with Hindu spirituality.
