Debut album "Timex" in 1999 have been followed by a string of releases on labels like Staalplaat, Abisko, Xerxes, Smalltown Supersound, Utech, Bottrop-Boy and OHM Records, as well as touring and playing shows around the world. Remixed by friends on the "Rolex" CD in 2001. Live collaboration CD with Merzbow later the same year. Have done music for theatre and dance performances. Visited and worked in Singapore during the SARS-crisis in spring 2003, but survived. Co-produced Maja Ratkje's "Voice" album in 2002, which was awarded with a price at the Prix Ars Electronica in 2003. Slightly altered their name to Jazkamer in 2004, to get rid of the jazz. In 2005 released their complete tour of Japan in a deluxe cassette box set.

When this song came out, I was sitting on a lonely hunk of coral in the South Pacific, wanting nothing so much as to go home. When we had a movie, the projectionist played popular songs while we were waiting for the film, and this was the one everyone waited for. im 32 and have always had a special place in my heart for this music since like 9… my first album and only album ive ever purchased was a temptations cd that had their hits from the 60’s… i have a 14 year old and somehow he has my same affinity towards music from this era…. i say that to say dont worry… i really feel like old souls are just born into new ppl with their memories wiped somehow🤭

this era feels natural to me for some reason and sometimes i wish to go back as if i lived in this era but i barely made the 80’s… thos golden era will never die and will always be passed on to the next generation… i see this as a blessing and satisfaction in this shit era we live in now😂

I’m feeling depressed because she passed away. She and Frank Sintra were the ones who taught me English from listening to their perfect English pronunciation. So beautiful American English. "Pillow Talk” was also the first American movie I could understand without reading the Portuguese subtitles.

Not completely true. I'm fifteen and I am absolutely in love with music like this from 20's-50's. Voices in these generations are absolutely phenomenal; there was actually no autotune back then so all the singers actually 'sang'. I think Doris Day, Sarah Vaughan, Bobby Darin, Bing Crosby, Betty Hutton, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Ward and his Dominoes, Frankie Carle and the Ink Spots are among my most favourite.

This song and Doris Day were sort of before my time, but when I saw her in movies, she always seemed to be the mother everyone wanted to have. She was very beautiful, kind and nice. The care she gave to animals was indicative of her kindness to all. If there is a God and heaven, she will have her reward. She used her given gifts for good.

Remember as a kindergartner singing Que Sera Sera with classmates in school and then as I grew older watching her on screen. A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice who overcame many obstacles in her own life yet still managed to show love and compassion to those people and animals in need. Doris Day's beauty and her talents will be ever lasting as she exits stage left one final time. RIP

Stella - glad you enjoyed the video -- in my opinion she was underrated as an actress...and really as a singer too. She did receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award this year - which was overdue. I'm with you - love her voice ! One of the best !

My Mom and Dad's song that got them through five years when he fought WWll and then 18 months of Occupation. They had only been married a month when he shipped out. A true loving couple that cherished their time together! I grew up hearing this song all the time!

I loved this. All the pictures of the lovely lady she was as well as her son, Marty, who passed all too soon. The pooches were the cherry on top! Thank you so much for a beautiful tribute to this very special woman.

WOW! what a great collection of pictures, thanks for sharing.The late "GREAT" Doris Day, sang so effortless, If Angels could sing, they would sound just like her. I'm 75, a big fan. My mother in the 50's share all of her music with me. Loved all of her movies too! That's how I started my collection, Mom gave me all of her recordings. Four Aces, Four Lads, all the greats from that era..the great pop stuff lead me to Rock'n'Roll/Doowop.

I was 34 days old when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
All the 40s music was extremely mind when my father returned home physically safe when I was four years old
Every Saturday I help my mom take care of her home keeping. My dad and my brother worked in the yard outside.
But my dad played all the forest music all day long in the 40s.
All the songs are etched in my brain and in my heart. I can never leave that alone.

It's a great song it's sad that Doris Day isn't no longer with us. I'm not from the Jazz era but I do remember her in movies. But listening to this song she could sure sing. When this song came out many young men were heading out to war. The journey would take them to the war in Europe or the Pacific. Many that were boarding the ships that were going off to war remember this sing. I've remembered her as an actress as well as a knock out blonde. She will certainly be missed.
