When singer Bettina Mischke and keyboard player Roland Grosch decided to found Jazzamor in 2001 they perhaps did not imagine that their minimalistic lounge arrangements would take off so quickly. Two albums in three years have highlighted their productivity as they firm out their smoothe 60s jazzy sounds in Europe's main languages. The albums' commercial success have decided the pair on plunging into the live circuit with the same passion they brought to their recordings.
In 2006 they released their third studio album "Travel... (In Order Not To Arrive)". A trip around the world in music. Each song is placed at a special setting in the world. Sometimes it's the language, other times it's an instrument, a rhythm or a story that brings us on a journey to a distant country or a city. Sometimes it's just a wishful dream, other times tales of being there.

Easy Game
Jazzamor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Hey balou where do you go
To the river that's running slow
I'm your girl and i'm not ashamed
'cause i know love is only a game
No no no no no easy game
No no no no easy game no no no
Hey balou you're running fast
With goose steps out of the past
Can't you see wherever we aim
That love is not an easy game
No no no no no easy game
No no no easy game no no no
No no no no easy game no no no
Where do you go what do you know
Who knows how this story ends
The lyrics of Jazzamor's song "Easy Game" is a melancholic tale of love and the complexities around it. The song chronicles the difficulty that comes with finding and maintaining love in one's life. The song is a conversation between two people, Balou and a girl, who discusses the challenges they face with love. In the first stanza of the song, the girl asks Balou where he goes when he wants to escape, and he responds with the river, which flows slowly. The girl then affirms her desire to be with him and states that she knows that love is just a game. However, as the song continues, it becomes apparent that finding and keeping love is not so simple, and Balou's desire to move on and the girl's eagerness to remain in the relationship is evidence of this.
The song's lyrics express a sense of resignation that characterizes the complexities of love. Love is never "easy," as the refrain in the chorus suggests. Life is a journey with no clear direction, and nobody knows how the story ends. The lyrics of the song, especially the descriptive language used to communicate a sense of dissatisfaction and desperation, evokes deep emotions within the listener. The song's lyrics urge us to cherish the love we have, but also to acknowledge its fundamental complexity.
