Jour Bizarre

Un jour sans soleil et sans vent.
Il faisait doux,
Juste doux.
Dans une rue banale,
Une fille pas mal
Qui est passée, c'est tout
Et c'est tout.
On a croisé nos pas
Et croisé nos regards,
Comme des gens qui se regardent
Sans honte et sans espoir.
Ses jambes, ses genoux,
Sa taille et son sourire
Et un parfum si doux
Saisi juste avant de partir.
C'était un jour bizarre,
Un jour sans soleil et sans vent.
Il faisait doux,
Juste doux.
Dans une rue banale,
Une fille pas mal
Qui est passée, c'est tout
Et c'est tout.
Je me suis retourné
Juste doux.
Dans une rue banale,
Une fille pas mal
Qui est passée, c'est tout
Et c'est tout.
The song "Jour Bizarre" by Jean-Jacques Goldman describes a strange day where nothing really happens except for a chance encounter with a beautiful girl in a mundane street. The weather is described as strange, with no sun and no wind, yet it's a comfortable temperature. As the singer walks down the street, he notices a girl passing by who catches his eye. They briefly make eye contact and he takes in her physical features, such as her legs, waist, smile, and even her perfume.
The singer's thoughts then turn to where she might be going and how he wishes he could talk to her, but doesn't want to come off as a fool. He watches her from a distance as she disappears down the street. Overall, the lyrics capture the fleeting nature of chance encounters and the desire for human connection.
