Her silky smooth tones and sensitivity were much more than a pleasure to encounter.

She was a goddess who gave us a gift.

She returned to performing in 2008 after 25 years away during which time her work included health care in south London.

Jean died 15th January 2009. A big loss for music. A huge loss to all.

Had the honour and privilege of attending the tribute concert for "Jean Adebambo" at the Hackney Empire!! What a fantastic evening it was and a fitting tribute to all that loved her. Watched the last interview with Jean Adebambo. What an eloquent lady, well grounded and such a gentle voice.
