My brother went to school with Jean in Hackney and both were in the same year as another legend of music - Carl Macintosh who went on to form Loose Ends. My brother used to tell me that Carl often asked Jean to sing for him but she wanted to do her own thing. What a wonderful singer she was. R I P Jean.
