Meine Fehler einfach ausradieren
Was da steht gehört zu mir, gehört alles dazu
Denn was da drin steht, steht auch drauf
Was da steht gehört zu mir, gehört alles dazu
Ich will leben, ich will leben
Was da steht gehört zu mir, gehört alles dazu
The song "Wie ein offenes Buch" by Jeanette Biedermann is about embracing vulnerability and living life with honesty and authenticity. The lyrics express frustration with the tendency to hide flaws and shortcomings, despite the fact that they are a part of who we are. The singer acknowledges the difficulty in speaking up and owning up to their mistakes, but ultimately strives to live like an open book, allowing others to read their story without censorship or shame. The chorus repeats the desire to live authentically and be fully known, with the acknowledgment that life is too short to hold back.
The overall message of the song is one of empowerment and self-acceptance. Rather than trying to present a perfect image or deny parts of ourselves that we perceive as weaknesses, the song encourages us to be honest and transparent. It reminds us that our flaws are what make us human and relatable, and that true connection requires vulnerability. In an age where social media and societal pressure can lead to a curated and isolating sense of self, "Wie ein offenes Buch" stands as a reminder to embrace imperfection and live with authenticity.
