Gets Us All In The End
Jeff Beck Lyrics

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Loves so hard it gets us all in the end

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Love's so hard it gets us all in the end
Whoa, whoa, whoa

I feel so out of place
Could it be I can't hide this look on my face
One step turns into two
Your so hung up from what you do
I don't care you can do what you do

Love is the shining light that sees us through
It's out of its shine a placement in time
Where all of us stand love makes it demands
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Love's so hard it gets us all in the end
Whoa, whoa

You think we should be free
But we won't get there by trying to be
Let the chips fall where they may
You can leave you don't have to stay

Even though love's hope is slight
We find the strength to keep fighting back
Inside of this shrine with nothing in time
We all understand love makes its demands
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Love's so hard it gets us all in the end

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Love's so hard it gets us all in the end
Whoa, whoa

Yeah

It gets us all in the end
It gets us all in the end
Love's so hard it gets us all in the end

It gets us all in the end

Baby it gets us all in the end

Love's so hard sometimes
Whoa, whoa

Of the Trinity, Clapton and Paige may have gotten more fame, but you know Beck was the better innovator!! Jimmy Hall tore it up on lead vocals too!!

Dianna Schendel

RIP Jeff..Thank you for your awesome songs and guitar playing legend will always live on forever 🎸

One of his best tracks along with Ambitious in my opinion. Really shows a bit of his true abilities .

Ted Cabana

That flash album was a turning point for Jeff, and he kept moving forward. Simply the best!!

Don Harrold

I read that Jeff wasn’t very happy with this album. I bought it at the time and thought it was amazing, particularly his playing on the first two tracks. The solo on this track was fantastic. I remember trying to play along, doing all the whammy bar tricks on my Kramer with a little Marshall combo set on meltdown. It’s just a shame he seems so disenchanted with it, when most of his fans actually have quite a high opinion of it.

William Walker

It's not that Jeff didn't like the album, he thought it would be a big hit for himself, and it wasn't.

John Byrne

Never have I heard a hard rock song begin in the middle -- let me explain: the blistering 70 second solo intro here is what we have always been led to believe comes in the middle of a song. So how can Beck possibly follow such a start? But Beck being Beck pulls it off with searing ease during the song's outtro -- incredible.
