JEFF ST JOHN
[D]There have been dazzling displays for my choosing
That I embraced but never used ???
And my only romance was my music
Cos [F#m]no one was the one [G]girl
[Em]‘Til the [F#m]night I [A]heard
It’s defi[D]ned by your magic in the full moonlight
????Gazed above the frame of my eyesight ????
Bathed in the rays of a luna white
You came [Em]walking through the s[F#m]tarli[A]ght
I’ve climbed out on the limb of good intentions
but my fear of falling kept me far removed
????I did not rely in languishing seclusion ???
Cos [F#m]no one was the one [G]girl
[Em]‘Til the [F#m]night I [A]heard
It’s defi[D]ned by your magic in the full moonlight
Gazed above the frame of my eyesight
Bathed in the rays of a luna white
You came [Em]walking through the s[F#m]tar[A]light
Starbr[B]ight .. like [E]diamonds in the [F#]sky
Starbright .. on silver swings you fly
[C#m]Into my heart, [G#m]]Into my life
Oh [G]my [A]love [B]I [A]was
Living a spiritless existence
In animated motion
Without joy or sound
But I see by the design of my defences
Still [F#m]no one was the one [G]girl
[Em]‘Til the [F#m]night I [A]heard
It’s defi[D]ned by your magic in the full moonlight
Gazed above the frame of my eyesight
Bathed in the rays of a luna white
You came [Em]walking through the s[F#m]tarli[A]ght
