Jeff and the other members of 98 Degrees decided to take a break to pursue other avenues, and Jeff launched his solo career by touring with Jim Brickman. After positive reviews, he wrote and arranged his first solo album, "Whisper That Way", which was released in August 2004 and included the singles Whisper That Way, Better Days and Favorite Star. Although the latter two singles failed to chart in the US and the album failed to place on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, the track Whisper That Way managed to reach #20 on the Adult Contemporary chart. His solo album became successful overseas with hit singles in Japan, Malaysia and China.
Jeff Timmons was the founding member of 98 Degrees. Although they are considered by many as a boy band, they are in fact not a boy band. They formed independently and were later picked up by a label, as opposed to being assembled by the label itself.
The group was originally signed to the Motown label in the mid-1990s. After building popularity with their appearance in the movie Mulan, singing "True to Your Heart," a duet with labelmate Stevie Wonder, their success broke out in late 1998 with their album 98° and Rising, which included the hit singles "The Hardest Thing" and "I Do (Cherish You)". After the first album, 98 Degrees left Motown for its parent company, Universal Records. All four albums released by the group went platinum.
Jeff became a Member of Gigmasters.com, Inc. in June 2006.
Jeff's sophomore solo album is expected in late 2006, after which 98 Degrees is reportedly going to begin work on its next studio album.
He is also scheduled to make a cameo appearence in the indie film Voosha Day where he plays the boyfriend of one of the leading characters.
Jeff Timmons has put to rest all the rumors and myths by stating 98 Degrees did not break up. They came together in 2004 to sing on Nick and Jessica's Christmas Special. In September 2005, 98 Degrees performed at Club Purgatory in Over the Rhine to support bandmate Justin Jeffre in his candidacy for mayor of Cincinnati. He and bandmate Nick Lachey have stated that 98 Degrees will be working on another album after the release of both their upcoming solo albums. Timmons remains busy working for other artists.
Angel Eyes
Jeff Timmons Lyrics

When she walked in the room
A smooth little smile was her disguise
If you know her story
You're right to assume
So sensual she kept me mesmerized, Oh yeah
Looking back
Fell right into her trap
Didn't know
My heart she would break
That she would turn her back
She's got angel eyes
She'll walk into your life
And turn it upside down
Whoa those angel eyes
Just ask the other guys
About those pretty little angel eyes
Now, Don't be fooled
By her elegant swagger
Because she's got black widow style
She'll say she loves you
But it really don't matter
She'll take your heart all the while, whoo
Looking back
I made a mistake
Fell right into her trap
Didn't know
My heart she would take
And stab me in the back
She's got angel eyes
She'll walk into your life
And turn it upside down
Whoa those angel eyes
Just ask the other guys
About those pretty little angel eyes
Used to believe
That someone was me
I once was blind
But now I can see
That I wasn't wrong
Just she wasn't right
Just listen to me and you will see
That she
She's got angel eyes
She'll walk into your life
And turn it upside down
Whoa those angel eyes
Just ask the other guys
About those pretty little angel eyes
Seems like everything's all right
When she walks into your life
She'll get past you with a smile
And she'll fool you alll the will
Oh she'll take away your pride
And you'll have no place to hide
She's the devil in disguise
Cause she's got those angel eyes
The lyrics to Jeff Timmons's Angel Eyes describe a woman who enters a room with a smooth, sensual smile that keeps the singer of the song mesmerized. However, he didn't know that her true intentions were not as pure as her appearance suggested, and he eventually fell into her trap. She breaks his heart and turns her back on him, but the song warns that other men should also beware of her angel eyes. The song talks about how she uses her elegant charm to seduce men, who fall for her 'black widow' style. The singer acknowledges that he made a mistake in believing that he was the one for her, but he now sees that she was not the right person for him.
The lyrics speak to the idea that things are not always as they seem; sometimes, people use their charm and good appearance to lure others in and break their hearts. The song warns about trusting others too easily and falling into their traps. The lyrics resonate with those who have experienced the pain of being deceived by someone they once trusted.
