Step By Step
Jeffrey Gaines Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Step by step
You can bet
I'm gonna be with you
Step by step
My friend
There's nothing I can do
Side by side
We're gonna finally get you on the mend
Until you love yourself again
I always thought of you just like a brother
When we we're young we'd try to outdo the other
Motorcycles and girls
We were the kings of our little world
But now you're falling apart
Step by step
We can't let
You just waste away
Step by step
We're gonna get a little better everyday
By day
You're gonna hear my praise 'til you comprehend
Until you love yourself again
Remember all those nights when I rushed right over
You thought you'd crossed that line
But I got you sober
Tough love to tears
Too many drugs
Too many years
Man you're breaking my heart
Step by step
You can bet
I'm gonna be with you
Step by step
My friend
There's just one thing to do
Side by side
We're gonna finally get you on the mend
Until you love yourself again
Step by step
Don't want to hear your lip
I'm gonna be with you
Step by step
My friend
There's very little that you can do
Side by side
I stand with you
And I strongly recommend

You learn to love yourself again
You better learn to love yourself again

i realize it is kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream new tv shows online?

I’ve been learning to play this song since I heard the guy from Maroon 5 do it on the Howard Stern show last week. He played basically an acoustic part on an electric with some chorus and other effects and actually sang pretty close to Peter G.
I’ve watched a bunch of videos of Peter G performing it live with a bunch of different musicians over the years, and a bunch of different tutorial videos, and this one seems to capture the song most closely on a single guitar as you can get.
