I was raped about ten years ago. Before this incident I was a very happy person, engaged and just graduated college. This led to an unfortunate turn of events; a crippling depression and my then engagement ending abruptly. I was not only distraught but also completely hopeless.I felt dirty, unloved and unwanted.

God ministered to me and told me that all will be well. I pulled myself together, attended therapy and was able to get myself out of the rabbit hole i had found myself in. As we speak, I have a good job and just recently got married and expecting my first baby. Hallelujah!

I have been struggling very much lately with things in life and not quite handling it all well emotionally. I broke down earlier and just cried begging God to show me he's here with me. I have strayed through the years, especially now being around someone who wants nothing to do with God. Bethel was sent to me by my beautiful mother months ago when I was struggling and the songs gave me so much strength that I was constantly replaying them. I finally gave in and subscribed. This song was first to show on my recommended today and so I hit play... the first few lines screamed to me that I am not alone and I absolutely broke down in the strangest happy/sad feeling. Straying and turning away from God is something I never thought possible. It's crazy how darkness consumes you and brings you down. Though it's a struggle, Bethel is currently my light in the darkness shining a path for me toward where I should be heading.

I’m sick since last year, I undergo an endoscopy and the results was I have small hiatal hernia and gastritis.. I lost weight and my appetite. I lost my confidence and all.. I notice how selfless she is whilst singing! she doesn't concentrate on herself, or the huge crowd who's come to see her sing and join her in fellowship. Well she can't concentrate in the crowd when she's declaring His words over His people. She looks at Him and through His eyes, she looks at the crowd. I can’t possibly put into words what this song has done for me. This was straight from His Heart, straight from the throne of God. I remember the first time I had it last year I was full of bitterness,anger, rage so tangible it would consume my being; my heart was in pain . I would cry till I couldn’t cry no more. I had uncontrollable headaches. But praise Jesus when I heard this song I felt like God was touching my heart like Someone was taking something out of my body. My bones would stop hurting. God, the day is long and trying. We are grateful for the end of it. As we lie here waiting for sleep to overwhelm us, we count the blessings of the day gone by. I just recently come across Bethel Music. The worship team did "You Make Me Brave" this past Sunday. I downloaded the album off iTunes and I haven't listened to anything else. I think we all will enjoy God more if we love him for who he is,not just because we want to make heaven.Don't just focus on making heaven alone,but also focus on his greatness,his loving kindness towards us. Wow! I'm blown away by this song! I like this version more than the one on the album. I see all these comments about her looks and how she is dressed. It's crazy. She's anointed of the Lord and she is a beautiful woman of God. The anointing makes people look more attractive than normal. It's just how it is I guess. But we can be pure in our thoughts and not hasty in our judgment. At the end of the day it's about Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. Let's be edified by her ministry and be about our Father's business. I'm not doing well...But boy has Jesus used this song to let me know he's still there for me and my brother in these more than difficult times. I stared straight in the eyes of my savior, and all I could see was love and care beyond anything I've ever felt in my 29 years. I give you thanks my Lord and my Savior for standing with me in this difficult time, for walking with me in my desert place...and for showing me that you feel for me. Thank you to God for such a beautiful gift that is Jesus! I'm going to bed tonight, feeling better and a bit more hopeful for the days to come. Amen!

I was never really into Christian Rock / Pop music, probably because I was from a Catholic family who followed that doctrine very closely and jammed it down my throat at a young age. When my wife and I had our little girl 3 years ago, she suggested we start going to the little Bible church down the road from us. I guess I found my way back to God on my own terms and I was asked to play some music for our service. I accidentally came across Bethel and this song in particular and I can't believe how good they are! They have sort of a U2 sound -very polished and professional, especiallly live. I guess I got sucked in because it doesn't sound like "church music" -at least not the kind I grew up with. Can't stop playing this and many other of their songs. I'm hooked and my wife will be, too. The best part is, I now have some "cool" music I'm not ashamed or afraid to have my little girl exposed to -no sex, no drugs, no nihilism, no nothing from the dark side. Just divine!

Brother I love these worship songs too and I follow them in praise and worship. And I am Catholic too. I'm not of being ashamed of being Catholic, the liturgy is immersed in scripture if one would only deeper. Every Christian is called to walk in faith and love. And you know what, these worship and praise make me even stronger and deeper in the faith and love. Praise and glory to God!

I noticed a comment earlier criticizing this song and insinuating that it shouldn't be sung as a worship song as it doesn't glorify God.

This song is so prophetic. Regardless of whether people feel it's a worship song or not - it speaks volumes. It might not be a traditional worship song, but it does bring people to that place OF worship. God is speaking saying "Come to Me" - very relevant for anyone who feels they have strayed, or that God is not near. If someone happens to be in that place, and is open to this song and lyrics, the reconciliation process can start through the worship that is evoked through this revelation; that God is our anchor, when our heart and flesh fail, He says come to me, for He is all we need.

I just want you to know how much this particular song means to me. This is my go to song that I put on repeat and just let play over and over when I'm having a tough day. When I'm worshiping there is no room for my anxiety and depression. It reminds me that I have nothing to fear and I am Loved. God bless

I am the drummer at my church. We recently played this song one Sunday and it wasn't until afterwards I realized how powerful this song is once I just tuned out the drum parts and fills and grooves and what not and just listen to the words, "I am your Anchor, your steadfast, I am your faithful strength and I am with you, WHEREVER YOU GO!"
