Jennifer Brown; Paul van Dyk Lyrics

Tell me why, tell me why

Wonder if I could open my heart again (if I could, if I could, if I could)
Ask me why I feel like at start again
Wonder if I could open my heart again (heart again, heart again)
Ask me why I feel like at start again

The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling

Tell me why, tell me why
Tell me why, tell me why

The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling

The morning comes
I can't understand the reason
And snow the is falling (tell me why)
The morning comes

I can't understand the reason
And snow the is falling (tell me why)

Overall Meaning

In Paul van Dyk's song "Tell me Why," the singer wonders if she can open her heart again after experiencing heartbreak. She asks herself why she feels like she's starting over, maybe after a failed relationship. The snow falling in the morning is used as a metaphor for the singer's emotional state. She seems to be in a cold and lonely place, feeling lost and looking for answers. The repetition of "tell me why" reflects her frustration and longing for clarity in her situation.

The song's overall tone is melancholic and reflective, and the lyrics are relatable to anyone who has gone through a breakup or heartache. The use of snow as a metaphor is also interesting, as it represents both the coldness of the singer's emotions and the possibility of a new beginning, like a clean slate after the snow melts away.

We are alive... Take a breath
We are alive... Take a deep breath
We are alive... Take a breath
We are alive... Take a deep breath

Don't take yourself too seriously, relax, release the heat
We may wear different clothes, pray to God in different vogues
But we're not alone, we are alive...

Used to jam to this when I worked out in 2007. Now here I am with kids and multiple sclerosis and as I’m going through a major relapse (new lesions) I’m using music as my therapy to help me get through the stress of it all.
