Fall At Your Feet

And I feel like I'm moving inside him.
Lying in the dark
And I think that I'm beginning to know him.
Let it go
I'll be there when you call.
And whenever I fall at your feet
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain
Don't hide it from me now
There's something in the way that you're talking.
Words don't sound right
I hear them all moving inside you
Know - I'll be waiting when you call
And whenever I fall at your feet
Won't you let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain
The finger of blame has turned upon itself
And I'm more than willing to offer myself
Do you want my presence or need my help?
Who knows where that might lead.
I fall, I fall.
Whenever I fall at your feet
Won't you let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain
In Jennifer Kimball's song "Fall At Your Feet," she sings about being close to someone she cares about and feeling like she is getting to know him from the inside. She is lying in the dark, perhaps in bed next to him, and she feels a connection between them growing stronger. She urges him to let his guard down, promising that she will be there for him when he needs her. Whenever he is in pain, she wants him to rely on her for comfort and support.
The lyrics express a willingness to give oneself fully to another person, to be present for them no matter what. There is a sense of vulnerability and trust, as well as a recognition that relationships can be challenging and complex. The line "The finger of blame has turned upon itself" suggests that there may be struggles between the two individuals, but rather than pointing fingers or blaming each other, she wants to offer herself as a source of assistance and love. The song is a tender and heartfelt expression of love and a desire for connection and understanding.
