Taking a few years away from the music scene to work on new material, Jennifer released her second studio album, Positively Somewhere, in September 2001. This album featured a more mature pop-rock sound, but went virtually unnoticed in the U.S. after its release due to lack of promotion on her label's part. It wasn't until its European and Asian release in the summer of 2002 that it achieved some success, thanks to the modest hit "Stranded", a cover of the Plumb song. Following the release of this album, Paige parted ways with her label, Edel. As a result, her former label released a compilation record in 2003 called Flowers - The Hits Collection, which comprised all of Paige's singles alongside a selection of other material lifted from her first two albums.
It wasn't until April 2008 that Jennifer Paige released her follow-up album, Best Kept Secret. Released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2008 through her new label GLOR Music Production GmbH, it included the singles "Wasted", "Underestimated", and the Nick Carter collaboration "Beautiful Lie".
A few years later, Paige collaborated with Coury Palermo for a couple of EPs but returned to her solo ventures for her first Christmas album, Holiday. Released in November 2012, it featured original seasonal material along with reworkings of old classics.
Following a successful kickstarter campaign, Paige released her fifth studio album in March 2017. Originally called Daydreamer, it was eventually renamed Starflower, and includes the single "The Devil's in the Details".

I see ya blowin' me a kiss
It doesn't take a scientist
To understand what's going on, baby
If you see something in my eye
Let's not over analyze
Don't go too deep with it, baby (baby)
So let it be what it'll be
Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me
Here's what I'll do
I'll play loose
Not like we have a date with destiny
It's just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do depends on you
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la
It's raising my adrenaline
You're banging on a heart of tin
Please don't make too much of it, baby (baby)
You say the word "forevermore"
That's not what I'm looking for
All I can commit to is "maybe" (maybe)
So let it be what it'll be
Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me (crazy over you and me)
Here's what I'll do
I'll pay loose
Not like we have a date with destiny
It's just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do depends on you
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la
Vanilla skies (vanilla skies)
White picket fences in your eyes
A vision of you and me
It's just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do depends on you
Sha-la-la-la
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing
Not like everything I do depends on you
Sha-la-la-la
Not like I faint every time we touch
It's just some little thing
Not like everything I do
Depends on you
The song "Crush" by Jennifer Paige is a catchy pop song about a developing crush between the singer and another person. In the first verse, the singer acknowledges that the other person is blowing her a kiss and that it is clear that they have a connection. However, she warns against overanalyzing the situation and getting too deep into it. The chorus repeats the sentiment that it's just a little crush and that it's not as serious as it may seem. The lyrics suggest that the singer is interested in pursuing the crush, but only casually.
The second verse begins by acknowledging that the crush is exciting and gives the singer adrenaline, but also recognizes that it's not a serious commitment. The other person says they want something more permanent, but the singer can only commit to "maybe." The chorus again reinforces that the crush is just a little thing and that the singer isn't completely dependent on the person.
Overall, "Crush" is a fun and lighthearted song that captures the feeling of a developing attraction. The lyrics suggest that the singer is interested, but also wary of getting too involved.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get really sad that this time has passed. To the point that you want to somehow travel back to this time and never leave. Also, do you think previous generations feel this to?? Can't believe this was so long ago now....feels like just yesterday. ❤😢
