Phillips began her professional musical journey in 1999, after graduating from BYU, when she independently released her first album. Eleven years later, as one of the top-selling artists with Deseret Book's music label, Jenny has become known throughout the world for her powerful presentations and music for the youth of the church.
Phillips has long had a vision of sharing LDS music in all parts of the world. She says, "LDS music had such a huge impact on my life as I was growing up. Since a young age, I had a vision of making LDS music available outside of the US. It has been one of the most fulfilling things I've been able to work on. I want members of the church everywhere to have access to this kind of music in their native tongue." Jenny has performed her music in 16 countries, and her music has been translated into 15 different languages. Her music has been performed by LDS youth groups in more than 30 nations.
During the creation of her second and third albums, Phillips formed a choir to tour with her. They began small—only eight members performing twice a month, but by the time Phillips released her fourth album, Journey toward Zion, in 2004, the group had grown to 140 rotating members performing more than 200 times each year. The Jenny Phillips choir has recorded on over a dozen CDs including EFY and Hilary Weeks projects.
In addition to her five full-length albums, Phillips has released four best-selling albums for LDS youth.
Jenny lives in North Salt Lake with her husband and four children.

A child was born into this life
Heaven could be seen in her eyes
There was no doubt she was divine
And if you are still you will feel the truth
That the princess in this wondrous story is you
[Chorus:]
It's your destiny to shine
So arise
Be true to the royal
That's inside of you
Don't settle for the story that
The world would have you write
You were born to reach eternal life
Let faith fill every chapter
Let the Savior lead you to
Happily ever after
Sometimes in your life
The world will cast a spell
And try to make your conscience fall asleep
And forget the woman God would have you be
But if you are still you will understand
The noble role you play in his plan
[Chorus]
It's your time
It's your destiny to shine
So arise
Be true to the royal
That's inside of you
Don't settle for the story that
The world would have you write
You were born to reach eternal life
Let faith fill every chapter
Let the Savior lead you to
Happily ever after
[Bridge:]
When the forests fills with darkness
And wolves seek your soul
Just know
You are simply in the place between
Your once upon a time and your triumph in the end
[Chorus]
It's your time
It's your destiny to shine
So arise
Be true to the royal
That's inside of you
Don't settle for the story that
The world would have you write
You were born to reach eternal life
Let faith fill every chapter
Let the Savior lead you to
Happily ever after
The lyrics to Jenny Phillips' song Happily Ever After convey a message of self-worth and faith in oneself. The opening stanza references the birth of a child, emphasizing divinity and establishing a connection to the listener as the princess in the story. The song goes on to declare that it is the listener's destiny to shine and that they should be true to the internal royalty that resides within them. The second stanza acknowledges that the world has the ability to cast a spell on one's judgment and that it could lead to forgetting the role that God wants for a person. However, if the listener remains still and stays true to their spiritual beliefs, they will understand the noble role they play in God's plan. The bridge of the song speaks to the difficulties and struggles that may arise, but it reminds the listener that they are simply in the place between the start of the story and the triumphant end.
Overall, the lyrics of Happily Ever After provide an inspirational message of faith, self-worth, and perseverance. It encourages listeners to embrace their inner royalty, let faith guide them, and trust in the journey towards happiness and eternal life.

This was my favorite song to sing when I was 12 and I haven’t heard it in so long 😭💝💝
@iamahouseofanubisfan
This song gets me crying every time. It's always exactly what I need to hear. Because I have felt so down. Like I don't even matter. And this song just makes me know who I am. That I truly am a daughter of god. And I am meant to be here for a reason. I love this song so much. Thank you so much for posting it.
