With his parents' encouragement, he involved himself heavily in music, taking guitar and singing lessons, writing his first song by age eight. Although as an adult he studied literature and psychology at Catholic University in Caracas, he knew that music was what he truly wanted to pursue. In 2000 he founded his own label, Avila Records, and released his selftitled debut two years later. Distributed in Spain, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela Jeremias was able to gain enough credibility and attention to approach Universal Latino, who signed the singer/songwriter and issued Ese Que Va por Ahi in 2006.
