@Shay There is blood and some scene that could be considered gory. Although it's mostly implied through shadows and cutaways. Except for few.
Here I'll get a bit more into the spoiler territory.
A character has a mask with spinning gears inside put on his head which kills him. (Cut away)
There is a cupcake that bites people.
A few people people die which is mostly off camera. The last one dies by having their upper taken. (Shadow on a wall)
A person gets cut and scratched by claws and hooks multiple times which is visible.
A person gets stabbed.
This last one is heavier on spoilers. A suit with a person inside locks up which causes the metal bits inside to cut into them as they writhe in pain and get dragged away.

When it comes to jumpscares there's about 5 in total.

From a cinematic and horror perspective, I agree, but imo you had a misguided take at the end. This isn’t a situation where fans have to deal with a “bad video game adaptation.” The games always had a messy story, and that’s exactly what the movie gave us, so fans got exactly what they wanted, it’s just an experience MOST critics and normal movie-goers aren’t going to enjoy.

The animatronics and suits were beautiful and so were the sets. Actors were mostly ok. But it wasnt scary, the story was rushed but also slow and tedious compared to the games.
Fans in the theater seemed to love it. They cheered super loud at every reference.

Springlock scene was ridiculously tame for what happens to you in canon. It's not just 'Oh no, some metal ribs', it forces the endoskeleton inside your body to the point where it crushes your bones and splits your flesh. Plus, there was barely any blood.

It isn't particularly scary, but to my surprise, FNaF was a really fun movie, and I was immensely amazed at the detail put into the set and costumes. I haven't enjoyed a video game film adaptation like this since Mortal Kombat, and I don't mean the recent one, I mean the one from 1995. Story-wise, the movie is a great way to introduce newcomers to the franchise and its lore while simultaneously rewarding veterans for their prior knowledge.

Yeah as long as your not going into it expecting a horror movie you should be fine. It’s more of a B movie. Surprisingly wholesome lots of fan Easter eggs and if you want to watch people die it exists here. A lot of fnaf fans are like 7 but they did stretch pg 13 deaths as far as they can go at times. Best way to watch it is on peacock drinking a goofing as group of friends at a watch party. Good intro to the series, nice b movie if your not familiar at all. Some better charichterizarion then I expected from a b movie. It did pretty well hope they make a sequel.

I feel like if you’re a fan of the franchise (which I am) and you are familiar with the lore, you get a lot out of the film because there were so many qualities that stuck to the story behind it. (I would get into it but I don’t want to spoil anything).

However I will say, for those that aren’t familiar with the story, I can see why it would be confusing. As fans, WE know who William Afton and spring Bonnie are, we know who Vanessa is, and we know the detailed story behind the “bite of 87”. However, if your not a fan, you miss all that and I can see why the film would feel a little lackluster.

For me personally, I loved it because I’m a huge fan but I can see the reason behind why some don’t as well. I feel like it could have been a bit more balanced out as to please the fans but also make it simple for people who don’t know the franchise to understand.

This movie is pretty hard to review because it really is built on "you had to be there". Personally, I had a great time, it was fun, silly, not scary but exciting nonetheless. I really appreciate the set-pieces, and getting a chance to admire the animatronics as being actual children, and not setting up a sequel and forcing this to be a two-parter

i think i understand where jeremy is coming from. if all the dream sequences were cut out nothing would change. Mike had no reaction to springtrap confessing to the murder. Its never explained why tf springtrap was in the woods and took Mikes brother. Mikes brother isnt even shown as an animatronic (ghost), and regardless of Mike agreeing or not in the dream, the FNAF robots wouldve still tried killing Abby.

I just saw it, and I really enjoyed it. And I’ve been watching all the Game Theory videos for as long as Matpat has been making them. I don’t think you need to worry too much about the fans. I liked the gang befriending Abby, it was a bit reminiscent of security breach, with Freddy helping Gregory. And it makes sense that ghost kids would want to befriend the kid. The dream sequences also felt fitting to the franchise. I liked the tie it gave Mike to the missing kids. I feel like expectation has a lot to do with how this movie is perceived. For me, it hit the tone I was expecting, and I enjoyed delving into Mike and Abby’s struggles. This franchise has long been about family. So I appreciated that. I see myself coming back to this movie regularly.

For me it’s different, I was a fan since before the second game came out, but by the time Sister Location was coming out, I was kinda giving up on the series. The thing that always drew into FNaF was the mystery behind it, the disturbing lore, especially the lore in FNaF 3. I’m not a fan the more recent FNaF games and lore that feels more light-hearted. What I wanted from this was a creepy movie with a disturbing story behind it that feels emotional, I wanted it to be deep and compelling, something that would leave you still thinking about it weeks later. I guess if that’s what the movie would’ve turned out like, it would’ve alienated a big chunk of the fanbase. And I’m not sure if FNaF fans would’ve wanted the movie I wanted, because I wanted something that would focus on it’s story and characters, rather than implementing the gameplay.

It would have been nice if they’d leaned a little harder into the darker tones. But I enjoyed it for what it is, and I’m looking forward to the next one. Hopefully we’ll get more horror in that one.

Experiencing the story felt very similar to the stories in the books. That is to say, not completely following what happens in the games but tying it together with some specific details. In this case it was a lot closer to the original.
Best parts are definitely the set design and the animatronics. Those look absolutely outstanding. And also some of the references. Like Foxy's humming. Not even going into all the stuff that's most definitely hidden in the background of pretty much any scene. Theorists will definitely have a field day with this one.
I'd say it's about 3 or a 4 if you're not a fan.
But if you're the kind of person who has a grin on their face when they hear the original FNAF song from The Living Tombstone play during the end credits, it might just be somewhere between 6 or a 7.
I fall into the second category since this was my childhood.
In my case, I've had a good time.

About the “rated R gorefest” part, it probably would’ve made the movie more fun but the FNAF games actually have very little in terms of actual gore, a lot of the really disturbing stuff is implied rather than explicitly shown (with a few exceptions ofc).

So I feel like the PG-13 rating actually makes sense in this case.

I think the dream sequences were poking fun at Dream Theory, an old theory in the community. It stated each game was a nightmare a child had, hence the banter at the beginning bashing it. The cameo’s were what I loved, and there were indeed Easter eggs like Ella being in the back room (the springlock suit Vanessa set off.)

Watched this with friends that were deep into the lore of FNAF. I usually come to this channel for other opinions. (oddly we agree a lot)

Personsally I only watched gameplay of maybe the first 3 games, after playing the first one for myself. I was never deep into the lore and only went because my friends wanted to go as a group. One of them gave me the quickest brief or the lore prior. 'The owner of Freddies is a murderer whom killed kids in the suits and thats how they 'move/become alive'. So to the dream sequences - they were representing the kids souls communicating with Mike(though Im sure this was understood). As a horror film I agree an R Rating could have made it better, but it would've hurt it as a FNAF film. Youtubers really made the lore, and created a huge fanbase for this game. I disagree that this is a terrible video game translation movie, as it fits perfectly into the lore and idea of FNAF. As a horror film, and a movie in general, I wholely agree it didn't really feel like horror, and there was a lot of bad moments. I think Charlie's Moist Meter is the best video explaining my rating for the movie as well.

But starting with the second one, the creator added mini games to expand the story slightly, which people would dig through to make sense of what was going on, which I feel like prompted him in turn to add more (or to tease the fans who were digging for more by hinting at things, but never outright exposing them). It became this weird almost cycle and that was as interesting to watch as the game itself. It feels weird that this movie went off in so many different directions. I didn’t necessarily expect them to adapt the games’ messy canon or the books, but it felt like this movie was originally supposed to be something else with the evil aunt and the sister and the brother and they just splashed it with a FNAF coat of paint. I dummo, at this point, I feel like Banana Splits did it better.

I enjoyed the film for the first viewing. Future viewings, I could see wanting to hit speed up on it. Really enjoyed seeing Matt in it for a quick little scene. I've fallen off watching his theory videos/deep dives into the lore but he is why I enjoyed the lore of the series and read the trilogy of books with Charlie. I'm a little worried that FNAF the movie series will get out of hand like the game and short stories books have but if they could do a trilogy with a proper start, middle, end, I'd enjoy that. Maybe they can make the next one a bit more enjoyable on rewatch?

I just finished watching the movie this evening on peacock. I loved it. The plot took heavy inspiration from both the books and games with so much to look for in the background. I thought it was really good. This movie, as some of the marketing states, was for fans much more than the general public. You have to understand the game lore at a basic level to grasp the story and the parallels. Micheal, Abby and Garrett are parallels to the Afton (the killer) kids who died or when on the quest to set the souls free. The animatronics all looked amazing and I loved every scene with them in it. I also loved the spring-lock scene at the end, it was so similar to the third games 8-bit mini game version of it!

Let's be honest here, NO ONE was really expecting a cinematic masterpiece out of this movie, so I doubt the fans are all that dissapointed. Yeah, the story isn't that great and at times it comes off as rather goofy, but what matters the most (at least to me) is that it was clearly written and produced with love and with the fnaf community in mind, to give them what they've been waiting for all these years. And for that, I just can't bring myself to dislike the movie. I feel like it's like that for a lot of people.

But ig it makes sense if you don't understand much about the lore you would think the storyline is useless.

Fnaf itself isn't really gory. If there's any gory scene, it's done in an 8-bit style. I just saw the movie in theaters, and it was great. Sure it lacked jumpscares and that was somewhat of a letdown, but I personally think it had a good story. The only thing I wasn't fully sure on was the fact how William Afton was able to manipulate the animatronics, but fnaf is meant to be confusing. That's what makes it great.

Conclusion: I might be biased, but I loved the movie. The animatronics were impressive and the story telling was very good. Just like the games, it gives you a lot of answered and unanswered questions just making you question "When's the next movie coming out"? The jumpscares were the only letdown, IMO. I will have to say that the last few minutes in the ending definitely delivered. Just because the movie isn't scary doesn't mean it's a bad movie. Again, this is probably me being biased again.

Keep in mind that the original game was made by an indie developer who made the game that if failed would be his last ever game. His previous RPG games were criticized for being too creepy-looking and that's when he got the idea of making the game as a last attempt for success. 8 years totally makes sense. Most of the games are 2d and made by himself.

The fort building scene also makes sense in the context that these animatronics are kids. Which i think is easy for people to forget. I loved it. The references were amazing. It stuck really close to the source material. It was nice to see the animatronics get to act like kids because in the end, that's what they are. They died as children. Of course they're going to act like children.
That being said, I can see why people who aren't fans of the games don't like the movie. It was really campy. But so are the games. The lore is extremely convoluted. But that's part of what I love about the franchise. Scott said he wasn't going to pander to what mainstream audiences want because he was making this for the fans of the games. He succeeded in that. All the fans of the game that I've seen absolutely love it.

Disappointing as you found the film, I can say that it could have been even worse.
A few years ago Scott Cawthon shared that the biggest reason the film was taking so long to make was finding a good script. Previous ones he was offered included (but not limited to) "the pizzeria had an underground lab and the animatronics were military weapons the whole time!", "a boy and his animatronic" and no joke "kaiju FNAF plushies invade Manhattan". Even Scott's own attempts at writing a screenplay didn't go anywhere, since in his words it ended up being a "3 hour visual encyclopedia instead of a movie". I'm not even certain if the script he ended up choosing made it into the final movie, considering how much can change in production.

I saw the movie on Friday and it was atleast entertaining. The dream sequences made sense to me since it tide the robot ghosts to the main character in some way. I’m not really a fnaf fan but my sister was and she was loving the movie and based on the reviews, so were the fans so clearly we aren’t seeing what they are which makes sense seeing how the movie was made for them. Can’t make it rated r when the fanbase are teens. This is just one of those movies you have to be a fan of the series to get. I would have liked it to have been a 15 at least, just to let a bit of blood in, increase the darkness and do the springlock bit some justice. When you know there is supposed to be an undead guy in a rabbit costume walled in at the back of an abandoned pizzeria, his guts hanging out of the suit. Not to mention fans have made audio snippets of what it probably sounded like when William Afton was springlocked (which is sheer nightmare fuel), theres SO much more to work with.

I will say though DAYUM did they make the animatronics look perfect. The fact that they were actual real, properly built animatronics is incredible. Thats dedication right there.

The animatronics have kids souls in them, makes sense that they would make a fort. In the games, Michael was searching for William and to stop him from harming anyone else (while also being his father), the movie follows that premise, but with a twist. Venessa switching personalities ties back to the games when she switched from being a security guard, to a murderous bunny known as Vanny. There were easter eggs that were in the movie for fans to find, just like Scott Cawthon did in his video games. My only big critique, was the whole custody battle for Abbey. Remove that and make the robbers only want to go there as they saw the pizzeria was active at night, BOOM the movie is 10 times better.

As a fan of the lore and story of FNAF, and not so much the gameplay, this movie was honestly great. Using the dream sequences to reveal the ghost children to Mike before his sister even got involved really set it up well to show something was majorly off. I do wish Lillard played a bigger role, but similar to FNAF1 we didn’t have that much Michael Afton detail and reveals. The next movie could certainly dive into Aftons mind more giving Lillard more screan time and setting up for Glitch trap. Solid 8.5/10 for this film

So, having grown up with this serious, watching Markiplier and MatPat both play through and dissect the LORE, I can say that I THROUGHLY loved this movie.

It feels exactly like one of the newer games: created by Scott Cawthon FOR the fans of his bizzare murder robot series.

Yes, there were several cameos specifically for fans. Yes, there were weird “out of place” dream sequences. Yes, there wasn’t a gore fest that a Rated R or Unrated film could have gotten away with.

But to use your “The Menu” Analogy, Jeremy, while you saw it as “Tyler’s Bullshit,” the fans of the series saw it as that final cheeseburger. A dish made just right, with the ingredients we love, made just right to make us happy.

This "horror" movie isnt the typical kind you would think of, its built from the ground up as a fans dream movie. The story is going to be messy because the games story is messy (always has been and thats no theory) so you either would need to be a fan of the series or do a little homework to truly catch whats going on. This movie as a whole was actually close to perfect. You have the characters that everyone knows easter eggs at all points in the movie, cameo apperances from well known theory and gameing community youtubers (and yes markiplier was actually suppose to have been the nightguard at the start of the movie), the most authentic looking pizzaria thats practically 1 to 1 to the games version, theres call backs to the original lines from the game etc etc. "For the fans" couldnt have been a more fitting description and that's not a bad thing. In a world where most movies have lost touch to push an agenda, this is a breath of fresh air.

Warner Bros. was originally set to produce the movie, although it was then cancelled because scott was willing to cancel the movie rather than produce a movie he wouldn't be happy with nor one that the fans wouldn't be happy with, until blumhouse picked it up. From what everyone who worked on the movie said, Scott Cawthon was very involved during each step of production.
The movie does lack cohesion and has sequences that feel out of place, and I think that is what the average person takes issue with in the games as well. but that is also what fans love about the games.
It's definitely not a perfect movie, but it's the movie that wanted to make and it's a movie that fans loved.

I pretty much expected critics to pick apart this movie but from my point of view as a fan I really enjoyed it. I liked that they almost exclusively used practical effects and props. The cinematography was also good. And the story which was probably confusing for the average viewer was quite cohesive for someone with prior knowledge. The acting was hit or miss. The scares were scarce and ineffective, the extra cast was just there to remind you why it’s a 15+ rating, and Vanessa’s character just progressively got worse. I can understand you didn't get it as someone who doesn't really care about the franchise but damn, as a fan this was perfect and everything I wanted from the movie, first time I've left the cinema smiling since Dune, definitely one for the fans :D

Went with a couple buddies of mine and we all liked it. The one in our group that didn’t follow the games and lore as much as the two of us really liked it. I do think there were scenes that could’ve been cut or trimmed down but overall I had a good time. I personally didn’t mind the movie being PG-13 and I thought they showed more than I originally suspected they would. I’d give it a 7.5/10
The people in our theater seemed to of had a good time as well and thankfully no kids were present.

Honestly really enjoyed the movie, watched this with my friends at the cinema and even the cinema was hyped up, I am a big fnaf fan ever since I was 6! (I’m 14 now) I loved how the movie got us confused at the start, but the more the movie went on it started to make sense, the movie also had it’s good sense of humor too, (won’t spoil since some unfortunate people can Misclick comments) of course the movie is just a movie adaptation, and I genuinely loved it, it wasn’t as scary as I hope though, that’s the only dislike I have about the movie, but I guess they wanted all ages to see it?

I really like mikes storyline. Like hes just a guy trying to find a job but nobodys wants to hire him because of his anger problems and hes trying to find the person that was responsible for his brother being taken away from him. I believe this storyline was beautiful and i believe this could've been its own movie without slapping on the title "Five Nights of Freddy's".

When done well, a jumpscare isn't just BAM loud noise. A jumpscare should make you jump AND be scared. Often times with a jumpscare, you're ONLY reacting to the loud noise. With movies like Woman in Black, or Sinister however, the scare is also burned into your brain and it's what you're gonna think about when you look outside at night. THAT'S what a GOOD horror movie will do. I'm so tired of films like this over relying on a thing and failing to understand what makes that thing work. And sure jumpscares are the backbone of the franchise, but game jumpscares are fundamentally different from movie jumpscares. With a film you need a bit more substance.

The genius of the FNAF games is that they're high stress as you have to rapidly complete tasks and cameras and vents CONSTANTLY. It builds tension that can only be snapped by the game ending, and that's where the jumpscare comes in. The jump often comes when you think you're ok, and so it still manages to catch you off guard. The other thing that contributes to is effectiveness is how the jumpscare means you lost. You died. Game over. This means you're always dreading it because you don't want to lose and have to start over again. So now the same exact jumpscare can get you 10 times in a row as you scream half because of knee-jerk fright and half just out of frustration.

In short, the jumpscares in the games have clear CONSEQUENCES. That's what makes jumpscares more effective and memorable, and more than just a "gotcha." FNAF got it right in the first couple games, at least.

I think what is one thing most critics have to remember is that every movie has a target audience and what this film is stated is for the fans and only them. Not even for horror fans. That being said i will say, it was missing only ONE key element of the games that just doesnt help me call the movie a good fnaf film. And thats just the fact we didnt get a survive the night sequence. I never felt dread or anxiety built up in the movie like the games, even in the newest game Fnaf Security Breach being its least scary game so far in the franchise it was still eery. I do think that still it should be rated R, we maybe didnt need a gore fest but some scense in the movie needed to be taken more seriosly and would have looked a lot better if it had been allowed to be R. It terms of Fnaf it does an actually INCREDIBLE 10/10 job looking like fnaf and even sort of meta commentating on events in the fandom but it is missing one of the biggest selling points of the franchise. 2/10 for you and lots of non-fnaf fans which is okay but as the target audience i would give it a 6/10 maybe a 7/10, have to rewatch it.

I really enjoyed the film. The way they portrayed Afton was… interesting, it wasn’t really what I expected. I thought this guy would be more menacing, more unsettling and more scary plus the springlock scene was not as brutal as I thought. Overall I liked the film and would add it as one of my favorites. I have learned that mine and Jeremy's movie preferences are almost the exact opposite of each other. Nothing against his opinions, but I knew as soon as I saw his review that I was gonna really like the FNAF movie, and I did. There was a weird moment or two, but I think they did a really great job translating the game over to the big screen. Point of all this is, give the movie a shot if you were interested before watching this review. Maybe you'll agree with Jeremy, maybe not. But me and pretty much everyone else who was near me in the theater seemed to really enjoy it (from what I could tell).

I went with my 10yo niece. She has never been as excited for any other movie I took her too as she was for this. She loved it! She had so much fun whispering to me who the characters were and how much it was like the game. We had a blast watching this movie. I don’t think I would of enjoyed it as much if I didn’t watch it with her. This movies audience is definitely her age range, and most of the audience seemed to be 8-15 and their parents. They all seemed to have loved it.

as someone who was the target demographic for this game when it came out, and am now an adult, i really would've like to see this movie get the R rating it deserved. yes, a lot of the "horror" stuff takes place off screen in the games, but this isn't a game, and people who haven't played the games are not going to understand how brutal this series is without some violence

I absolutely loved it, I‘m an og fan tho so maybe it hits harder for me. However, I went with a friend who didn‘t know anything of lore, he liked it and gabe it a strong 7/10. Personally, I give it a well-deserved 9/10

Maybe if I had played the games I would've liked it more, I'd give it a solid 6/10. The set design and animatronics were fantastic, the acting was good, and story itself was decent. But the dialogue could have been better, could have had more scares, and the biggest issue was the slow pace.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but it’s disappointing to see negative reviews on this movie.
I was moving that non fans of the franchise would also enjoy it, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.
Hopefully the next movie won’t disappoint, and fixes the problems.
I suspect that the next movie would be based off of the second game with the shiny plastic robots and the broken down ones.
The third one would include i giant walking green robot with holes all over its body with an eggplant man inside it.

I just watched the movie and I would say it was ok. You NEED to be a fnaf fan to understand this movie and get the little pokes at the lore. There was some pretty cool scenes that really stood out and made the movie worth watching, but there was a lot of filler characters and scenes that didn't need to be added. Overall I think that it was a pretty good movie.

I actually adore this adaptation, as a fan of the games. My sister, a fan of the books, also loved it. My mom, who has no idea what fnaf is, also liked it. It's a good movie. Sure you can nitpick, but it's actually really good. For extra context, my mom and sister love horror movies, and i hate them but love action.

It might scare young children, but teenagers and adults will probably at least like it. It's a solid movie, and i got jumpscared by the same flashlight stealing bastard THREE TIMES

The fact is that they mostly reference the first game and the first game is just them trying to get you and that's it. and each night was literally only less than 10 minutes so yeah there really should be that big of an expectation going into the this movie. I can understand from a critic POV where they would give this a low rating but this was an indie game that had it's moment in the spotlight. Hell, Scott did have a lot of influence into this movie. Hollywood actually gave the fan base what they want.

The thing is I know they are supposed to move that way but it just takes us out of the element when you focus the camera on them which they are supposed to be like the "weeping" angels of Dr. Who. Like if you blink then they move but them moving all the time just takes the frightening element out of them and they don't really have jump scares. Feel like this would have worked if it was more psychological in a sense. You know, the dude is on his first night shift with nothing really happening and he's goofing around , then at the end of the night he sees one of the animatronics walking around. He talks about it with management or whoever the next day and they don't know wtf he;s talking about. Maybe its implied that the ventilation is fucked and is causing him to halucinate. Then on night two, maybe he hears/sees a haluciantion of his kidnapped brother convincing him that his disappearence was related to animatronics, so the mc decides to try and find out more leading him sticking around for five nights and getting more fucked up as things escalate.

I'll be honest, i was a huge five nights at Fridays fan when it first started, i think 1-4 for the games, then i fell off the franchise hard. However I found some good enjoyment out of this movie. While yes i think the movie could have benefitted from an R-Rating, i think it pushed the PG-13 rating far enough to still make it scary. I like josh Hutcherson as an actor, and i thought there was some good chemistry between him and the kid sister character. As someone who lost a sibling over custody disputes, with motives much like the Aunts, i related hard to Mike in this. And of course i'm a sucker for Matthew Lillard. The Practical effects were really top notch, and the CGI was passable at least. I think the only thing i didnt like was the spring trap suit. Thought it was too clunky looking compared to the games. I've seen cosplayers make more accurate costumes than that.

Overall though, i liked the movie, and want them to do another.

I might’ve considered myself a fan of the series back when the first few games came out but these days I would definitely say I’ve outgrown them, so I’d say I have a unique perspective of understanding the references but not allowing them to influence my opinion of the movie.

This movie is just really really bizarre. Even ignoring the god awful pacing and honestly kind of boring story, the decisions and dialogue of certain characters (mainly Vanessa) just didn’t make any sense. I definitely agree of having a theatre full of bigger fans than me really heightened the experience because I was laughing hard every time the theatre burst out with “THE BITE OF 87!?” or similar references.

Imo if you’re here for the references and literally nothing else you might have fun, but this movie fails in just about every way that matters when it comes to being a movie. I guess the animatronics and set designs looked good? But this was just so bad. I don’t care if having a messy story is in the spirit of the games, that’s still not a good thing, guys.

Basically, the main problem is that this movie is harder to enjoy if you aren't a fan or follower of the series. Like I enjoyed it and it was kinda fun, not scary. But the thing is that as someone who isn't a huge fan of the series, the exposition dumps with Vanessa and the fact that it takes so long to get to anything made it kind of a drag.
Hopefully in the second movie, since they kinda got all over the lore, they focus more on the horror and suspense part and make it better. It's not a bad movie, I'll say. But it could have been better for non-fans of the series.

I saw it yesterday at my local cinema, as it was released yesterday overseas including in the UK and for what it is, I thought it was pretty decent. But I can't deny, it does have its problems. The slow start did put me off a little but once things got going, it wasn't too bad. The dream sequences were a bit weird to me but I felt like there's deeper meaning to them that this movie did not want to explore. It did have a couple of spooky moments and comedic moments too that work well and Matthew Lilliard is the best part of this movie. Though, everyone tried their best. I am interested to see how a sequel to this would go though.

As someone who has not played the game but has children who follow the lore- it was a very good movie and we plan on seeing it again in the theater.

I went in with low expectations and came out thrilled!
