In 2001, while working at a recording studio in LA, Jes met Mike Olson. The two formed Guardians of the Earth, which was a former successful on MP3.com with songs like Starchildren and One Moon Circling. Starchildren was included on Paul van Dyk’s 2001 Ministry of Sound compilation, The Politics of Dancing. Jes has also collaborated with producers such as D:Fuse, Deepsky and Solar Stone, producing tracks like Living The Dream, Ghost, and Like A Waterfall. The latter track appears on the compilation album In Search of Sunrise 4 by Tiësto, who she also appeared alongside with on selected dates during his Tiësto In Concert Tour.
Jes's most well known work to date is her collaboration with Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden (of Gabriel & Dresden), which led to the formation of the group Motorcycle. Their 2003 hit As the Rush Comes was a number one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2004, on which it also became the first year-end number one Dance Airplay track of the same year. As the Rush Comes gave Jes international exposure, which then allowed her to perform in larger venues and festivals like Bacardi Festival (Lebanon), Fresh (Malta), World Electronic Music Festival (Toronto), Escape In The Park (Wales), Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena and Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Denver).
In 2006, the song Ghost was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
Working with producers Steve Sidelnyk and Sean Spuehler, Jes recorded her debut solo album Disconnect, which was released in August 2007 on Tiësto’s Black Hole Recordings and Magik Muzik.

Do You Love Me
Jes Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I surrender
Fortune...trouble
Come whatever
Rock me...hard times
Take me over
Drive me
Crazy
I m gonna ask
One more time
I'm gonna ask
One more time
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Heartbeat...tick tock
Like forever
Love me rougher
Understanding is overrated
So take me lover
I'm gonna ask
One more time
I'm gonna ask
One more time
I'm gonna ask
One more time
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love?
In Jes’ song “Do You Love Me,” the lyrics reflect the vulnerable feelings of a person who is uncertain of their lover’s affection. The words reveal an individual who is willing to surrender their pride and ego to admit they need their lover's love and affection. The line "Don't shoot ...tough guy, I surrender" is an indication of someone who is pleading with their lover not to act tough but instead to reveal their true feelings. They go on to say that no matter what happens, whether there is fortune or trouble, they are ready for it, and they want their lover to rock them through the hard times.
There is a sense of desperation in the lines "Take me over, Drive me Crazy." It shows the need for the lover's touch to help them forget all the pain they have been through. The repeated line, "I'm gonna ask One more time," shows the anxiousness of someone who is worried about the love they once had with their partner. They keep on asking "Do you love me?" because they need to believe that their lover still feels the same way.
In conclusion, Jes' song "Do You Love Me" is a soulful ballad that delves into the insecurities of an individual in love. The lyrics reflect someone who is desperate for their lover's love to help them through the hard times. They need to know that their lover still loves them, and the repeated questioning of "Do you love me?" is a reminder of that need.
