In 2001, while working at a recording studio in LA, Jes met Mike Olson. The two formed Guardians of the Earth, which was a former successful on MP3.com with songs like Starchildren and One Moon Circling. Starchildren was included on Paul van Dyk’s 2001 Ministry of Sound compilation, The Politics of Dancing. Jes has also collaborated with producers such as D:Fuse, Deepsky and Solar Stone, producing tracks like Living The Dream, Ghost, and Like A Waterfall. The latter track appears on the compilation album In Search of Sunrise 4 by Tiësto, who she also appeared alongside with on selected dates during his Tiësto In Concert Tour.
Jes's most well known work to date is her collaboration with Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden (of Gabriel & Dresden), which led to the formation of the group Motorcycle. Their 2003 hit As the Rush Comes was a number one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2004, on which it also became the first year-end number one Dance Airplay track of the same year. As the Rush Comes gave Jes international exposure, which then allowed her to perform in larger venues and festivals like Bacardi Festival (Lebanon), Fresh (Malta), World Electronic Music Festival (Toronto), Escape In The Park (Wales), Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena and Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Denver).
In 2006, the song Ghost was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
Working with producers Steve Sidelnyk and Sean Spuehler, Jes recorded her debut solo album Disconnect, which was released in August 2007 on Tiësto’s Black Hole Recordings and Magik Muzik.

People Will Go
Jes Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Nobody cares about it anymore
Jealousy
And I don't even know your name
But everybody gets it
In a blink it leaves you cold in the night
Jealousy
And I don't even know your name
Burned into your memory
People will go
People will come
People will lead you till your heart is numb
Reach for me
People will go
People will come
People will lead you till your heart is numb
Reach for me
The lyrics to Jes's song "People Will Go" seem to explore themes of isolation and loneliness, juxtaposed with the knowledge that all people at some point in their lives will come and go. The lines "nobody listens" and "nobody cares" suggest a feeling of being ignored or overlooked, while the repetition of "jealousy" hints at a sense of envy or longing for something out of reach. The phrase "burned into your memory" implies that these feelings are indelible - they leave a mark that cannot be erased.
The chorus then brings a more hopeful note, with the acknowledgement that while people may come and go, it's still possible to connect with others and reach out for support. The line "people will lead you till your heart is numb" suggests that there will be times of pain or difficulty, but the repetition of "reach for me" suggests that there is someone there who can offer comfort and solace.
Overall, the lyrics to "People Will Go" seem to capture the bittersweet nature of human connection - the fact that it's possible to feel alone and ignored, but also to find hope and solace in the support of others.
