With each note and word, she reveals her heart, and naturally touches ours. We have the sense we’ve just shared our personal stories with Jess as her lyrics so effortlessly relate to us and her vocal resonates with emotional sincerity and soulfulness. Whether seated at the piano or standing behind the mic, Jess’ captivating performances holds us with her memorable melodies and candid lyrics.
Growing up in a home where Nina Simone, The Doors and Marianne Faithfull were given a lot of “air play”, Jess was exposed to a wide variety of music from an early age. Her musical influences include Nelly Furtado, Coldplay, Janis Ian and jazz great Nancy Wilson. Jess began studying piano at age 5 followed by the clarinet, trumpet and baritone horn; this, along with harmonizing a cappella with one of her sisters to pop songs on the radio, created a strong base from which Jess developed as an artist.
It’s clear from her music and her presence both on and off stage that Jess King is a young woman full of hope, strength, sensitivity, and conviction. Although the distinctiveness and depth of her voice allow her to transcend genres, Jess stays within the wide boundaries of pop music, while pushing the edges.
Live performance has led Jess King from her home city of New York to other major cities including Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Paris and San Francisco. She has composed for an award-winning independent film, been featured in several television and print ad campaigns, and has been applauded by music legend Stevie Wonder.
Currently based between New York and Paris, Jess King released her debut single, "User", on July 9, 2013. Get ready to feel something real. EP Coming this autumn.

Anyway Whatever
Jess King Lyrics
Lost my keys, my iphone’s dead
Bills unpaid under my bed
Since you’re gone it’s not the same
There’s no one here that I can blame
The cable’s down, the floor’s a mess
It’s 3 o’clock, I’m still not dressed
Left things out like you’re still here
I even started drinking beer
I’ve got your picture on my nightstand
And when you see me you’ll understand, so
Anyway whatever,
I don’t believe in never
Even if you think it’s over
Don’t worry love, it’s all good
Anyway whatever,
Even if you think it’s over
I still have your number
Don’t worry love, it’s all good
It’s all good, all good
Time has passed, I’m better now
It’s been awhile since I found out
You met someone, she’s kind of cute
I wouldn’t trust if I was you
I got your picture on my nightstand
And when you see me, baby, you’ll understand
Anyway whatever,
I don’t believe in never
Even if you think it’s over
Don’t worry love, it’s all good
Anyway whatever,
Even if you think it’s over
I still have your number
Don’t worry love, it’s all good
It’s all good, all good
You told me I should turn the page,
so I moved on
Every time he kisses me it just feels wrong
And I must admit he doesn’t have your touch
No matter what he does I just don’t get a rush
Anyway whatever, I don’t believe in never
I’m sure you have my number
And we will be together
Anyway whatever,
I don’t believe in never
Even if you think it’s over
Don’t worry love, it’s all good
