The lead single from the album, Right Where You Want Me, began receiving airplay on July 11, 2006. McCartney released his third album, Departure, on May 20, 2008 in the United States and Canada. Musically, it is a departure from his early works, showing mature themes. The album has reached number 14 on the Billboard 200. The album's lead single Leavin' was released in March 2008, and reached number (10) on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, giving McCartney his highest-charting single to date. Make Up
Jesse McCartney Lyrics

I wanna see you when I wake up, wake up, wake up
Cause you look good without make up, make up, make up
Ain't nothing on you phony, phony, phony
You're sexy and you know it, know it, know it
A little dose of you helps me to start my day
Baby girl, I'd really love to see your face
I'm taking pictures in case you ever go away
Cause baby, I don't wanna miss a thing
Cause you're too captivating
[Chorus]
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it
Baby girl, you don't even gotta try
Cause just you looks along really like my vibe
Cause your body's blazing
Baby when we go to sleep at night,
Oh, I don't wanna close my eyes
Why dream when I can have the real thing? (the real thing, the real thing, the real thing)
[Chorus]
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it
Girl you know that you got me, and I thought you should know
Baby girl, you're so exotic
From your head to your toes
And I just thought I should tell you, baby
You're the reason I'm going crazy
You're the reason I'm going crazy
You're the reason I'm going crazy
You're the reason I'm going crazy
You're the reason I'm going crazy
[Chorus]
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it, know it, know it
You're sexy but you know it
You're sexy but you know it
The song "Makeup" by Jesse McCartney is a tribute to the beauty and sex appeal of a woman, with or without makeup. The song is essentially about how the singer wants to see his lover's face when he wakes up in the morning, without the burden of makeup. He thinks his lover is naturally beautiful and sexy, and he wants her to know that.
The chorus repeats the idea that the singer wants to see his lover without makeup, and that she is "sexy," whether she is wearing makeup or not. He takes pictures of her, so that he won't miss a thing in case she ever goes away. The second verse is a further exploration of his lover's beauty - he loves everything about her, from her body to her mind. Even when they're going to sleep, he doesn't want to close his eyes, because he wants to savor every moment with her.
The bridge is a declaration of love and passion - the singer thinks his lover is exotic and that she's the reason he's going crazy. He loves every part of her, from her head to her toes, and he just wants to appreciate her for who she is. The song's message is clear - you don't need makeup to be beautiful or sexy, because love and attraction come from within.
