After American Idol, Jessica Sierra performed all over the world. She sang at many concerts and private events, including a private event in Kazahkstan. Jessica did concerts for charities such as the Special Olympics, and performed at numerous corporate events including shows sponsored by Kelloggs and Edy’s Ice Cream. In July 2006 Jessica visited U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Kuwait, performing six shows for an Independence Day celebration including a 4th of July show in Bahgdad.
In late 2006, Jessica recorded a song, "Unbroken", for a Toys "R" Us Exclusive CD that came with the purchase of a Sony CD player. It was released as a single in early 2007 on iTunes.
Sierra lived for at time in Nashville, Tennessee where she wrote and recorded with producer Nick Brophy. Brophy has worked with The Rolling Stones, Avril Lavigne and Phil Vassar and cowrote some songs with Phil Vassar's ex-wife Julie Wood Vassar. Jessica is managed by Verge Management.
On November 19, 2007, Sierra was sentenced to 12 months probation after she pleaded "no contest" in a Tampa courtroom to charges of battery and possession of cocaine.[2] Represented by prominent Tampa attorney John Fitzgibbons, Sierra initially entered "not guilty" pleas to both charges and missed a scheduled court appearance on August 29 because she was in a rehab facility in California. Fitzgibbons stated that she had been at the facility since July.
It was later revealed that Sierra was participating in a VH1 rehab reality show being run by Dr. Drew Pinsky of Loveline. The show, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, was described by VH1 as a serious take on the difficulties of getting clean and staying sober. A civil suit is still pending in Hillsborough County in which Wisam Hadad, represented by Dennis Hernandez & Associates, PA, is seeking unspecified damages for his injuries. Sierra is listed as indigent in court records.
On December 1, 2007, shortly before she was to return to California for continued rehab treatment, Sierra was arrested again at a Tampa bar, this time for disorderly intoxication (misdemeanor), resisting arrest without violence (misdemeanor), and violation of the conditions of her probation on the earlier felony charges. Due to the probation violation charge, Sierra was held without bond from the time of her arrest until shortly after her court hearing on January 7; she was in custody for 39 days.[5] The police report of the bar incident states that she shouted obscenities and racial slurs at the authorities also offering a sexual deed if they would release her.
On January 7, 2008, Circuit Judge Daniel Perry sentenced Sierra to 12 months in rehab at the California treatment center run by Dr. Pinsky. After the year in the facility, this is to be followed by three years of probation for violation of her probation for the earlier felony charges and time served for the two misdemeanor charges. Judge Perry made it clear that if Sierra violates the treatment program's rules or refuses to finish, then she will be extradited to Florida and she will receive prison time. However, if Sierra successfully completes the treatment and her additional probation time, she will not be a convicted felon.[9] Perry's sentence followed a plea to the court on her behalf from Dr. Drew Pinsky, who flew in to Tampa for her hearing. Pinsky stated in and out of court that Sierra was multi-diagnosed and had mental health issues in addition to her addiction issues.
On January 8, 2008, Verge Management released Sierra's "Deepest Secret" EP on iTunes, as well as Amazon.com and Rhapsody. On January 13, 2008, Sierra was released from jail in Tampa, Florida and flew directly to California to begin her court-ordered one- year treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center.
VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, featuring Sierra and eight other celebrities, premiered on VH1 on January 10, 2008. Consisting of 9 regular episodes and a reunion show, Celebrity Rehab aired each Thursday night on VH1. Participants were actress Brigitte Nielsen, actor Daniel Baldwin, former pro wrestler Joanie Laurer (aka Chyna), Crazy Town singer Seth Binzer (aka Shifty Shellshock), Taxi star Jeff Conaway, porn star Mary Carey, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriguez, and Family Matters actress Jaimee Foxworth. Sierra was unable to participate in the reunion show, aired March 13, due to probation restrictions.
On January 31, 2008 a sex tape titled Jessica Sierra Superstar was released. Jessica was featured in an article about the Celebrity Rehab show in the February 2008 edition of O Magazine. To promote the series, she also appeared on The Tyra Banks Show with Pinsky, Brigitte Neilsen, and Crazy Town singer Seth Binzer; the episode was taped in November 2007, prior to her second arrest.
As of April 10, 2008, Jessica's song, "Deepest Secret," sits at the #3 spot on Idolwaves.
On March 14, 2008, Sierra's Deepest Secret EP was made available in CD format via her official website: http://www.jessicasierra.com and on March 15, 2008, Jessica's video for her single Unbroken was released. Unbroken is the song that Jessica sang on VH1 Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

Every now and then I get a little bit lonely
And you're never coming 'round
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit tired
Of listening to the sound of my tears
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit nervous
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit terrified
And then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn around bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around bright eyes)
Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit restless
And I dream of something wild
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit helpless
And I'm lying like a child in your arms
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit angry
And I know I've gotta get out and cry
(Turn around)
Every now and then I get a little bit terrified
And then I see the look in your eyes
(Turn around bright eyes)
And every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around bright eyes)
And every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all the time
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
(Turn around bright eyes)
And every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around bright eyes)
And every now and then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
We'll only be making it right
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all the time
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
Nothing I can do
Total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart
Turn around bright eyes, turn around
The lyrics of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Jessica Sierra depict a woman who is lonely and yearning for the love of her partner, who seems to have been absent for quite some time. She expresses her emotions of restlessness and helplessness, and her frustration with feeling angry and terrified because she doesn't know if things will ever be the same again. However, she clings to the hope that her partner will return to her, hold her tight, and restore their love to what it once was. Together they can conquer anything, as she sings, "together we can take it to the end of the line."
The phrase "total eclipse of the heart" symbolizes the feeling of losing someone you love, and the darkness that comes with that loss. It is a feeling of being completely overwhelmed, as if the darkness is consuming you entirely.
Overall, the song speaks to the universal theme of love and the lengths people will go to for the ones they care about. It illustrates how being in love is not always easy, but it is worth fighting for.

Every now and then I get a little bit lonely
Occasionally I feel a tad desolate
And you're never coming 'round
You are not visiting me
Every now and then I get a little bit tired
At times I feel sagacious
Of listening to the sound of my tears
Of hearing the noise of my weeping
Every now and then I get a little bit nervous
From time to time I become a bit tense
That the best of all the years have gone by
That the finest days have elapsed
Every now and then I get a little bit terrified
From time to time I get a little of frightened
And then I see the look in your eyes
But then I observe the expression in your glances
Every now and then I fall apart
Periodically I break down
Every now and then I get a little bit restless
Sometimes I get slightly fidgety
And I dream of something wild
And I envisage something uncontrolled
Every now and then I get a little bit helpless
On occasion, I feel a little vulnerable
And I'm lying like a child in your arms
And I am lying like a toddler in your embrace
Every now and then I get a little bit angry
Sometimes I become a little bit enraged
And I know I've gotta get out and cry
And I am aware that I need to leave and weep
And I need you now tonight
And I require your presence tonight
And I need you more than ever
And I need you more than ever before
And if you'll only hold me tight
And if you only hold me firm
We'll be holding on forever
We will be holding on forever
'Cause we'll never be wrong
Because we will never be inaccurate
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Together we can proceed until the end
Your love is like a shadow on me all the time
I am always under the shade of your love
Forever's gonna start tonight
Eternity is starting this evening
Once upon a time I was falling in love
Previously, I was tumbling down in love
But now I'm only falling apart
But presently, I am merely breaking
Nothing I can say
I cannot express
A total eclipse of the heart
The heart is in complete darkness
And every now and then I fall apart
Periodically, I fall apart
We'll only be making it right
We will only be setting it correctly
And if you'll only hold me tight
And if you only hold me firm
Forever's gonna start tonight
Eternity is starting this evening
A total eclipse of the heart
The heart is in complete darkness
Turn around bright eyes, turn around
Revolve, bright eyes
