Jessie J
Stomp stomp I've arrived
Drop the beat, nasty face
Why ya lookin' at me?

Flyin' flyin' flyin' flyin' through the sky
In my spaceship
I'm an alien tonight

Dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty sucka
You think I can't get hurt like you, you motherfucker
I can do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

Do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem,
Sugar sugar sugar
We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem,
Sugar sugar sugar

Boom Boom, pour me a beer
No pretty drinks, I'm a guy out here
Rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin' money like a pimp
My B-I-T-C-H's on my dick like this

Dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty sucka
You think I can't get hurt like you, you motherfucker
I can do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

Do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem,
Sugar sugar sugar
We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem,
Sugar sugar sugar

Boys, come say what you wanna
Boys, you need to lick my dollar
Boys, gettin' hot under the collar
Holla holla whoa

Boys, come say what you wanna
Boys, you need to lick my dollar
Boys, gettin' hot under the collar
Holla holla whoa

I can do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

Do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

We can do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

Do it like a brother
Do it like a dude
Grab my crotch, wear my hat low like you

We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem
Sugar sugar sugar
We can do it like the man'dem, man'dem
We can do it like the man'dem
Sugar sugar sugar

Do it, do it like a dude
Do it, do it low like you

Do it, do it like a dude
Do it, do it like a dude

Overall Meaning

The song "Do It Like a Dude" was released by Jessie J in 2010 and topped the charts in several countries. The lyrics speak of a woman who is confident, strong, and unafraid to do things traditionally associated with masculinity. The opening lines, "Stomp stomp I've arrived, Drop the beat, nasty face, Why ya lookin' at me?" instantly establish the tone of the song as being bold and unapologetic. The lyrics go on to highlight the ways in which the singer can emulate stereotypical male behavior, from grabbing her crotch to wearing her hat low.

One of the most notable lines in the song is when Jessie J says, "Dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty sucka, You think I can't get hurt like you, you motherfucker". This line is a direct challenge to the idea that women are weaker than men and can't handle things that are traditionally associated with masculinity. Here, Jessie J shows that she is just as capable of being tough and unyielding as any man.

The chorus of the song emphasizes the idea of doing things "like a dude", as the singer repeats the phrase "Do it like a brother". By the end, she asserts that "We can do it like the man'dem", further challenging stereotypes about gender and behavior.

Overall, "Do It Like a Dude" is a powerful anthem for women, encouraging them to be confident, bold, and unafraid to do things that might be considered "unfeminine". The song challenges traditional gender roles and celebrates the idea that women can be just as tough and capable as men.

This one of the reasons why Jessie is such a powerful woman, because she is not afraid to break stereotypes and fight people other things like that, she's such a huge inspiration

@ospxdes8708

@asava17 She may have been questioning her sexuality. For example, as myself, I thought I was straight and always went by it. But now that I’ve been through that, I’ve actually discovered I’m asexual. I’m not sure if that’s what she did, but it’s just a thought.

@spongebob-wd9zg

@asava17 uh no tf she shouldnt. If she thought she was bi, there is nothing wrong with her being open about it. If she found out she wasn't, that's ok too. I swear people like you act like people aren't allowed to question their sexuality without being "offensive" to the lgbtq+ community.

@bubblegumbxtchh

@asava17 why can’t she talk about her experience of being unsure of her sexuality? Like, that’s extremely dismissive. It’s good for people to hear they’re not alone in that situation.

Yawn.
