In 1987, bassist Todd Crew died due to a drug overdose in the Hotel room of Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. Coincidentally, Hanoi Rocks had recently parted ways after the death of their drummer Razzle, which allowed Sam Yaffa to fill the bass guitarist position. Yaffa, a member of one of the groups Jetboy had found most influential, was now a member of the band. Jetboy continued on into the 1990s before calling it a day. However, over a decade later, Jetboy reconvened, toured and recorded a new EP 'Off Your Rocker'.
Three songs from Feel the Shake were featured in the 1989 movie The 'Burbs, starring Tom Hanks. They were "Bloodstone", "Locked in a Cage" and "Make Some Noise". Additionally, two songs from Feel the Shake, "Feel the Shake" and "Make Some Noise" were also featured in the 1989 movie She's Out of Control.

Jetboy Lyrics

You don't think I know what's going down
But I've seen you walking 'round with him
I wanna blow my top, but I hold it in
Every time I see you
You look at me like I wasn't there
No shame
And the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
Well, the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
I'm goin' down one last time
I really wish that you'd make up your mind
'Cause if it's me you want, I ain't hard to find
But if you ain't prepared to love one man
It's him or me, come on now, take my hand
Every time I see you
You look at me like I wasn't there
No shame
And the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
Well, the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
I'm goin' down one last time
I said every time I see you
You look at me like I wasn't there
Just like I wasn't there
I said every time I see you
You look at me like I wasn't there
No shame, baby!
And the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
Well, the fire in my heart
Is burnin' hot for you tonight
Won't you save me now
I'm goin' down for the last time
One last time!
Fire in my heart, well, it's burnin' so bright
Burnin' for you when it's burnin' al night
Fire in my heart, well, it's burnin' so bright
Burnin' for you when it's burnin' al night
Fire in my heart
Fire in my heart
Fire in my heart
Fire in my heart
Fire in my heart
It's burnin' for you tonight
The lyrics of Jetboy's "Fire in My Heart" describe the frustration and desperation of a man who is aware of his partner cheating on him. He is torn between his love for her and the anger he feels towards her betrayal. He confronts her, expressing his wish that she would make up her mind and choose between him or her lover. Despite the hurt he has endured, he is still passionate about her, and the "fire in [his] heart" for her burns hot. He pleads with her to save him from falling down for the last time, highlighting his vulnerability.
The chorus of the song, with the repetition of the line "And the fire in my heart is burning hot for you tonight," emphasizes the intensity of his emotions. He wants her to know just how much he loves her, even if she doesn't seem to care or acknowledge his presence. He exclaims that the fire burning in his heart is so bright that it burns all night, signifying that his love for her never dies.
Overall, the song portrays the theme of love and betrayal by presenting a story of a man whose love for his partner burns deep, even in the face of heartbreaking deceit.
