In 1987, bassist Todd Crew died due to a drug overdose in the Hotel room of Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. Coincidentally, Hanoi Rocks had recently parted ways after the death of their drummer Razzle, which allowed Sam Yaffa to fill the bass guitarist position. Yaffa, a member of one of the groups Jetboy had found most influential, was now a member of the band. Jetboy continued on into the 1990s before calling it a day. However, over a decade later, Jetboy reconvened, toured and recorded a new EP 'Off Your Rocker'.
Three songs from Feel the Shake were featured in the 1989 movie The 'Burbs, starring Tom Hanks. They were "Bloodstone", "Locked in a Cage" and "Make Some Noise". Additionally, two songs from Feel the Shake, "Feel the Shake" and "Make Some Noise" were also featured in the 1989 movie She's Out of Control.

Moonlight
Jetboy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And the moonlight fills the sky
Every mother's baby's home in bed
Papa's working overtime
That's when I rise, soon after dark
It's time to get my licks
I work by night in a rock-n-roll band
That's how I get my kicks
I live by moonlight, yow, yow!
I live by moonlight, yow!
Yow, yow, yow, yow, yow!
I live my life in the rock-n-roll world
'Cause the music blows my mind
And I won't rock-n-roll till the sun goes down
Past midnight's perfect time
When the moonlight shines, stars fill the sky
And only crazies walk the street
I'll party all night till the sun goes down
And then I'll hit the sheets
I live by moonlight, yow, yow!
I live by moonlight, yow!
Yow, yow, yow, yow, yow!
I live by moonlight, yow, yow!
I live by moonlight, yow, yow!
I live by moonlight
I live by moonlight
Sleeping all day and I party all night
Won't go to sleep till I see daylight
The lyrics to Jetboy's "Moonlight" depict the life of a rockstar who lives for the night and thrives on the energy of live performances. The song is an anthem to those who live and breathe rock and roll and are willing to sacrifice sleep and day jobs to pursue their passion. The first stanza sets the scene for the singer's lifestyle, as he notes that while most people are at home asleep, he is just getting started. He works by night, playing in a rock band and feeding off of the crowd's energy. The chorus drives home the point that the singer truly lives by moonlight and loves the lifestyle that comes with it.
The second stanza focuses on the singer's love of music and how his passion for the genre dictates his lifestyle. The moonlight and late hours are what inspire him to rock out and put on a show for his fans. The final verse is a declaration of the singer's commitment to the rock and roll lifestyle. He refuses to stop partying until he sees daylight, indicating that he will continue to live his life as a rockstar until the sun comes up.
Overall, "Moonlight" is a song about the pure joy and adrenaline rush that comes with being a musician and living life on the edge. It captures the spirit of the early days of rock and roll when bands lived on the road and played for crowds of adoring fans night after night.
