The distinctive LP was produced by Neil Osborne, longtime singer from Canadian rock luminaries 54*40, in his first official production role beyond his own band's duties. Bridges was soft-released in late 2005 on a regional basis and has since reached a top 10 position on Canada's national campus radio charts while also being a staple on emerging alternative outlets such as XM satellite radio and 3WK internet radio. The LP is now due for national release on Microgroove/Warner on April 25, 2006.
Addiction
Jets Overhead Lyrics

Climbing the walls to escape all the good evil
Blinding the student like horse independence
But I'm not one, you're not one
One of those bad people
Addiction
The kids are all playing
But not my son
Not your son
They're not those bad people
Change it tomorrow
"Addiction" by Jets Overhead talks about the struggles of an individual in a society filled with morally corrupt people. The lyrics paint a picture of a city where the bad people are thriving and the good are struggling to find their place. The phrase "climbing the walls to escape all the good evil" suggests that even the good people are trying to find their way out of an environment that is toxic to their virtue. The reference to "Blinding the student like horse independence" could be interpreted as the corrupt society instilling false notions of independence and self-sufficiency in its people, which ultimately leads to addictive and harmful behaviors.
The chorus of the song, "Addiction," highlights the destructive consequences of living in a society that pushes individuals to addiction. It could be referring to the addiction of various substances like drugs, alcohol, or even the addiction to negative patterns of thought and actions. The lyrics suggest that addiction is not a personal failure but rather a result of the external environment that enables and nurtures such behavior. The song ends with a hopeful note, "change it tomorrow," indicating that this toxic environment can be transformed, and people can break free from addiction and other negative effects of living in a corrupt society.

I love the guitar sound in the intro, fuzzy but not overdone. sounds like a beautiful tube amp. I love their new music too, but it would be nice if they returned to a slightly heavier sound like this. although there's not enough antonia on this track
