this song was the last song me and my dad finds and enjoy together at Youtube approximately 10 days before he got sick and passes away 10 months ago. We'd usually search for his old playlist but that day we'd coincidentally stumbled upon this song.
We both can't believe we've never listen to this masterpiece yet we were very grateful we can at least listen to it after all this time.
we loved the lyrics, we loved the melodies that plays, we loved how skilled Jim Croce with his guitar was.
the next day, just like the fate has speak to us, he got sick. Very sick. and 9 days after, i watch him catched his last breath in my hands after all the treatments and everything we've gone through for his recovery (i hugs him that time cause i know the time will surely come) My mom said he was happy to be a father for me and my siblings, and i can't be proud enough to be his son.
after two months of his passing, i'd stumbled upon this song again. and that time, i lose myself. the lyrics hits very different this time. my tears won't stop and i cried as long as i could. i remembered all of our memories together. i remembered the times we spends the night by watching youtube or play some games especially DoTA 2 (i'm the one that play the game and he just watch me play it. he likes how the gameplay of DoTA needs a strategy and fast thinking mechanics) and we did it almost every day.
i just miss him very much, that's all, and until this day. Heck, i'll just miss him for eternity anyway...
But i know he's in a very very very better place now.
