Inspired by musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Free, and Led Zeppelin, Jim has already had the privilege of working with producer Jude Cole and actor Kiefer Sutherland’s Ironworks label.
Although sometimes likened to Steve Marriott, a young Rod Stewart or Paul Rodgers, he has steadily evolved his own style with instantly memorable, expertly crafted songs. To quote Tony Moore of the renowned Bedford music venue in London: “watching Jim Stapley….is ASTONISHING…..a masterclass in songwriting and performance.”
Jim has an infectious raw energy live that many thought had disappeared with heroes such as Mick Jagger, Roger Daltrey and Freddie Mercury and though happy in the studio, his true home is the stage. He freely admits that his ambition is to play for big crowds “and to hear my songs being sung back to me!”
The age of supergroups may be over, but the world will always want rock stars – in Jim Stapley we may just have found a new one!
