Lover Man
Jimi Hendrix Experience Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

"ok, here we go.
I'm gonna try it with the long beginning ok.
then, then, I'm gonna
Do the weak start. OK"

"what's it called Jimi?"

"here he comes"

"here he comes take one"

Here he comes, I say
Here comes your lover now
Here he comes
Here comes your lover man
Aah I gotta get my head from this pillow
I gotta get outta here as fast as I can
No hard feelings
Reach down baby and get my runnin' shoes
Oh yeah
Reach down baby and get my runnin' shoes
I gotta get outta here and I got no time to lose
Hey

Here he comes
Here comes your lover now
Here he comes
Here comes your lover man
I gotta get my suitcase
And get the hell outta just as fast as I can
Here he comes baby
Here he comes baby
Here he comes baby
Here he comes baby

All of human history i think

@jonbryant934

I'm guessing your related to the late great John Coltrane who was the greatest Reed man ever...the same genius like Hendrix...

@Soupslusher_68

Jon Bryant Hendrix is the best period. Many guitarists have contributed multiple things, but not like Hendrix. He was the first to truly revolutionize the electric guitar.

I’m convinced Hendrix was channeling the sounds of distant dimensions. I’ve never heard anybody play with such ease, soul, and creativity like him. He had absolute prowess over the guitar, enough for him to manifest his melodic imagination any way he wanted, melodies that sound so foreign yet familiar. His Music speaks in unique ways to every individual who hears it. That’s Art. It was a combination of raw talent, psychedelic drug induced mind states, and overall love and absolute devotion to music. People who were lucky enough to watch him live, Witnessed a true display of sonic shamanism. He truly was a special human being. A one in a lifetime musical prodigy. A force of nature, a source of unending inspiration to millions of musicians to come.

Hey Tryptamine....Very well said!

@WowAboveMe

Jimi actually never used drugs at all. If you watch any interview with him, he talks about how he never needed drugs in his life but he never put down anyone that did!
