They have just finished their highly successful Spring Tour and are getting ready to record the follow up to Burn My Money in June 2010 amidst a busy summer festival season.
When the Day Comes
Jimkata Lyrics

Sitting in the corner stumbling, mumbling, drinking, thinking, singing
About all these broke people. About all these good people.
Living in low spirits. Lift me to higher spirits.
With all of these people tonight. All of these people tonight.
And when the day comes we'll find a place of our own.
It costs so much just to feel like you have a home.
Wait till that day comes.
Walking round with holes in my pockets. I keep on counting just the same.
Its easy to forget about those blessings and the lessons that you learned so long ago.
Trying to feel alive and well. Trying to feel alive and well it's pretty hard sometimes.
Trying to feel alive and well it's pretty hard sometimes.
The Jimkata song "When the Day Comes" is a hopeful ballad about finding a sense of community and a place to call home. The song begins with an image of a man who is down on his luck, perhaps homeless or just barely getting by. He is sitting in a corner, drinking and singing to himself about the struggles of people who are also struggling to make ends meet. However, despite their hardships, the singer of the song is ultimately hopeful that he and these other downtrodden figures can find a lift to higher spirits amongst each other. He longs for a sense of belonging and community, togetherness in shared experiences.
