Jimmie's Chicken Shack has always produced an indie grunge/funk/jazz/ska sound similar: Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, etc. Mainstream popularity has fallen for Jimmie's Chicken Shack after a brief peak thanks to heavy MTV support for Do Right. After an extended hiatus, JCS reformed w/ a slightly modified lineup, maintaining a substantial fan following.
Released four studio albums; Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope (1997), Bring Your Own Stereo (1999), Re.Present (2004) and Fail On Cue (2008). Prominent singles include "High" and "Dropping Anchor" (both from Pushing...), "Do Right" (from Bring Your Own Stereo), and "Falling Out" (featuring Aaron Lewis of Staind) (from Re.present). A fourth studio album, Fail On Cue, was released in January 2008.

There's no doubt about it
Might take a miracle
To get me started
Don't get me started
Don't get me started again
Son you better get up
I make a dash in the lazy boy hundred
I start out slow but I lean back
And pull you under it
They say the competition lags
Behind precision wasting
Don't need a rear view
I know it's my smoke they are tasting
Damn another tragic jam
I know I'm s'posed to use my brake
So on the gas I slam
You better get up
You better get up while you can
Employed to crash the lazy boy hundred
Don't need no luck
We aim to suck
Just for the fun of it
They say you can't be kind
So don't you bother wasting
Your precious energy is victory
For they're tasting
I said damn another crack pot scam
I thought that things were going great
Now that I'm on the lamb
Damn another bunt grand slam
I think it's time to celebrate
Now that we rule the land
Son better get up while you can
I'm a lazy boy
There's no doubt about it
Might take a miracle
To get me started
I'm a miracle
There's no doubt about it
Might take a lazy girl
To get me started
Don't get me started again
Don't get me started
Son you better get up
You better get up while you can
The song "Lazy Boy Dash" by Jimmie's Chicken Shack talks about the singer's laziness and how it takes a miracle to motivate him. He compares himself to a lazy boy, sitting on a reclining chair, and thinks that starting anything is an uphill battle for him. He describes himself as the kind of person who needs a push to get things moving and that he may need a miracle to do that. He warns others not to get him started because he knows that once he gets started, he will be unstoppable.
The singer then talks about a competition that he participates in, which is called "lazy boy hundred." He describes how he begins slowly and leans back on the chair, pulling his competitor under it. He takes pride in being good at this game and wants to be victorious all the time. He also talks about how people criticize those who are kind, assuming that they are wasting their energy. The singer uses this as a motivation to win competitions and hopes that his opponents can taste his victory.
The song captures the essence of a lazy person and illustrates that people can have different motivations for winning competitions. Some people do it just for fun, while others do it to prove their worth to the world. Ultimately, the song leaves listeners with a message that motivates them to get up and start moving. It suggests that whatever it takes, a person needs to get up and do something because time does not wait for anyone.
