The Union, a collaborative album between Elton John and Leon Russell, featured a song entitled "Jimmie Rodgers' Dream", which was a tribute to Rodgers.

Rodgers was taught music by his mother, learned to play the piano and guitar, and joined a band called "The Melodies" started by violinist Phil Clark, while he served in the United States Air Force in Korea.

This is just wonderful! I have discovered the music of Jimmie Rodgers on an early morning in August of 2021 after thinking I knew music well all of my life. My dad had this LP in his collection in the early 70's ,but I sure do not ever recall it. I would pull it out just to stare at the car. I am definitely going to be singing his songs through out the day and teaching myself how to yodel! Thanks Jimmie,you made my day!
