In 1998, O'Meara started her music career in the hip hop/rap group, 2-4 Family. She remained with the band for only one single release, Stay. In 1997 Jo was recruited to join a new pop group S Club 7. She was a prominent member of the British group, singing most of the group's lead vocals, as well as acting with the group in their own TV series and in their movie, Seeing Double. The band split in 2003.
In 2005 she signed a solo record deal with Sanctuary Records. She released her debut single What Hurts The Most in September 2005 followed by her album Relentless. Unfortunately both failed to achieve chart success and she left her record label prior to the release of a second single.
In February 2006 she took part in the BBC reality show Just the Two of Us. Her singing partner was Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain. The pair came third in the competition. The following year Jo appeared on Celebrity Big Brother with plans to use the shows popularity to relaunch her music career. She initially received a positive reaction from the crowd and was the initial favourite to win, however she became embroiled in controversy and was accused of racist behaviour towards fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty. O'Meara was the fourth housemate to be evicted and upon leaving the Big Brother house she found herself amidst public outrage. Numerous newspaper and television interviews followed with O'Meara apologising for her behaviour but denying any racial motivation.
Since November 2008, O'Meara has been performing in various nightclubs, universities and Butlins holiday camps around the United Kingdom along with fellow S Club members Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole as S Club 3. She has since joined Innocent Records and has recorded a second studio album These Little Moments due for release later in 2010.

Sha La La La (Oh) Sha La La La (Oh)
Sha La La La (Oh) Sha La La La (Oh)
Sha La La La (Oh) Sha La La La (Oh)
Didnt Mean What I Said
I'm Sorry You Feel So Sad
The Words In The Heat Of The Moment
Let Me Comfort You
We Can Make It Through
Cause It's Wrong
It's Not Right
Let's Love and Not Fight
And I Say Hey Dont Cry
Let's Love and Not Lie
(Just Let Me) Be The One Who Cares
Just Let Me Be The One Who's There
So, Lets Love And Not Fight All Through The Night
All Through The Night
Sha La La La
(Oh - All Through The Night) Sha La La La (Yeah)
Baby, I Was So Wrong
I Ask For Your Forgiveness
Weak When I Should Be Strong
Now Give Me A Chance To Prove This
I May Not Always Show
How I Need You So
Cause It's Wrong
It's Not Right
Lets Love and Not Fight
And I Say Hey Dont Cry
Lets Love and Not Lie
(Just Let Me) Be The One Who Cares
Let Me Be The One Whos There
So, Let's Love And Not Fight All Through The Night
And When the Morning Comes
Ill Hold You In My Arms
And You'll be Sure Of Me
And Any Fears You Have Will Disappear
Let's Love
(I Know You Want it Baby)
(I Know You Need It Tpo)
Lets Love
(I Know Your Longing For A Love That's So True)
Lets Love
(So Get me Out Now Baby)
(When All I Wanted Was To Make You Mine)
Cause It's Wrong
It's Not Right
Let's Love and Not Fight
And I Say Hey Don't Cry
Lets Love and Not Lie
(Just Let Me) Be The One Who Cares
Just Let Me Be The One Who's There
So, Let's Love And Not Fight All Through The Night
All Through The Night
Cause It's Wrong Its Not Right

The song "Let's Love" by Jo O'Meara is a classic pop love song that talks about a couple's endearing moments together. The lyrics speak of a couple who have recently had a little tiff and are trying to make up for it by expressing their love for each other. The repetitive Sha La La La at the start is a catchy hook to the song, which sets the stage for the love confession that follows.
The opening lines of the song, "Didnt Mean What I Said, I'm Sorry You Feel So Sad" sets the tone for the rest of the song. It reminds the listener that their words have the power to hurt others, even when they don't mean to, especially when they're spoken in the heat of the moment. The singer then goes on to reassure her partner that they can get through this moment by loving each other more and not fighting.
The chorus, "Cause It's Wrong, It's Not Right, Let's Love and Not Fight," emphasizes that fighting is wrong and is not the solution, but instead, they should work on their love and relationship. The song gives hope to the listener that love can conquer all, even when things get tough. The lyrics show a willingness to take responsibility for their actions and a determination to make things right between them.
