The song "Milans" by Jocelyne Beroard begins with Jacob chanting "Iyé" repeatedly before the lyrics begin. The song mentions various events and situations that have occurred in the community. The opening verse calls for people to listen, as there is a lot of news to share. The song speaks of the Milan bird following the lisin bird and eating the Hoslin bird. The second verse mentions a woman who is giving her opinion, but she is being silenced. The song urges people not to give up under pressure but to keep fighting.
Later in the song, Jocelyne speaks about a day they went to a garden party, where many people were dressed up. Despite the beauty of the day and the people, it was clear to everyone that in their beautiful little country, sunny days were often followed by rain. The song goes on to tell the story of Kolino, who was given a small amount of sisi by a woman to cook with. When he returned home from work, there was only a little left. The woman declares that Kolino himself has shrunk in size. The song ends with the call to share knowledge and to resist pressure.
