She had 3 songs of note, 'With all my heart'(1957), and 'Love me forever' and 'Someday(you'll want me to want you)', both in 1958. She released several albums and appeared in two films in 1957, namely 'American Bandstand' and 'Jamboree'. A very pleasant voice, and a good interpreter of the ballads that were popular at the time.

Nice song from that year I was still a kid eleven years old. The singer has such a nice voice really and I wonder why can't we have singers like her today. Musically at least it is clear the past was better than today at least in popular music.

Well given the fact that you're now 74 years old the past sadly won't be there forever. The music style has changed alot from the 50's to now. This sounds really lovely. You have a good reason to love this because of the sincere, gentle voice and the ACOUSTIC instruments played by a band in the background. Back when people learn instruments. Now sadly much is digital. But that is not a bummer! I suggest you check out "myloveilove" all in one word by Bogdan Raczynski. Computer made melodies, but so soft, gentle and sincere. You will love it. Trust me on this one! :-)

The song is even more enjoyable if you understand italian. I like Dalida's French version very much, but I still personally prefer Jodie Sands'.

Very rich and profound voice. Jodie Sands is one of my all-time favorite singers. I have always had a crush on her ever since I saw this very record, somewhere in Montreal when I was 20. I already had some compilations with a couple of her songs in it; I loved her voice, but I had no idea that she was this beautiful.

I appreciate Cats Pjamas presenting her records here. I have some of hers on my playlists. When Cats mentions the popularity dates of her records, she mentions the DEBUT date, not when it topped. These songs are on the charts for one to 40 weeks AFTER that date. Therefore the effective chart popularity dates of these songs are from zero to four months AFTER the debut date. This song was on the charts for eighteen weeks and therefore was effectively popular about late July 1957, when its entire stay is considered.
