Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, he later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and signed a record deal with Polygram Records in 1992. He rose to prominence after releasing his debut album Everything the following year. He followed it with a series of successful albums under Jive Records, including All That I Am (1997), the international bestseller My Name Is Joe (2000) as well as the multi-certified albums Better Days (2001) and And Then... (2003). My husband kept on listening to this song last year this time. A few weeks or days later our 1.5 year old son was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive brain tumor quarter the size of his brain… it shook us to the core especially when the doctors called us after a failed op with a mass bleeding that they couldn’t do anything anymore… 5mins to live… I arose within and wrestled with the living Christ to display His power right now. We kept on speaking the Word over this little body. He made it through the night, the doctors couldn’t believe their eyes. God Almighty parted the Red Sea in front of our eyes! God spoke to us that His glory is going to be revealed… here we are after one year of much refinement… 10 months of intense chemo and now have started intense radiation to “medically stabilize the remaining tumors”… even tough we are going through all the natural procedures our hope and faith is not in medicine… but in the Living God who will still part the Jordan to enter into the Promised Land of Divine Health and Healing!!! We pray salvation to everyone that has been involved in the process and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the glory of the beautiful Son of God Jesus Christ!!!
