Never Give All Your Heart
Joe Bonamassa Lyrics

She left a letter on the table
Said she'd be home by five
Smell of old coffee lingers on my mind
I won't wait to hear those footsteps
Climb those old creaky stairs
Every lonely night I miss her presence everywhere
Cry to the sky above
Never give all your heart for love
You cry to the sky above
Never give all your heart for love

Familiar places that we went to
Become like dying vines
You should pay for a reminder of love in better times
Such a hard time to get over
Such a deep love that's lost
From the sun the morning dew the moon the heat and frost
Cry to the sky above
Never give all your heart for love
And cry to the sky above
Never give all your heart for love
And cry to the sky above
Never give all your heart for love

The heat of passion will deceive you
Make you a different man
Turns peasants to kings
Draw dirt to fertile land
So jungle walkin' hooligan
Have my gun at my side
Such a lender of this march until they died
Withe powers to give just enough
Never give all your heart for love
You cry to sky above
Never give all your heart for love
And cry to sky above
Never give all your heart for love

As a 19 year old i'm happy I listen to real music like this. Too bad this ain't on the radio these days

Alan Gross

It is at least on BB Kings Sirius channel. That's where I first heard him.

Having guys like this go unrewarded while what passes for "good music" these days just boggles my mind. And I am just trying to get my daughter to stop listening to Justin Bieber.

@Joey H98 He writes a lot of his own material, records it in his own studio and releases it on his own independent record label, which also releases material by other artists, and reportedly plays over 200 shows a year. He has released 15 albums in the past 13 years, and if he plays to an average audience of 1,000 (I suspect that the average is a lot more, at least twice that) and nets only $10/head that alone would be $2million. His CDs/downloads start around $13, so if the retailer takes a third of that, another third goes to paying the other performers, and if he only sells one CD for every concert ticket (typically sales/downloads far exceed concert ticket sales), then he'd still be left with close to another $1million from CDs …. then there's DVD's, and merchandising, neither of which are charities. And he has a deal with Gibson. In short he has multiple irons in the fire, and is certainly netting well into seven figures per annum, …. and if he isn't he needs to find a better business manager!

Keep trying.

He is rewarded very well by his talent. The world will catch up with Joe and, when it does he will shelve all the trophies and baubles and go right back to work making his incredible music. He can buy anything he wants right now! He really (imo) is in it for the music and just how much he can contribute to it.

Jesus H.! Where has this man been all my life? I just caught his concert at the Greek Theatre on a PBS special and had to buy the DVD and CD. This man plays like no one I have ever heard in my 59 years of living. What a treasure to music.
