When I listen to this song, my life passes revue.
When I opened my eyes for the first time and looked into my mother's tearful eyes of joy that said "I love you so much my sweet child"
When I went fishing with my father for the first time. My eyes sparkled with happiness as I showed off my catch to my mother!
All Christmas Eve with the Christmas gifts that opened with twinkling eyes and fellowship with my family.
My first bike when I learned to ride it. I feel my father's strong arms as support when I sway forward on the pawed road.
My first day of school when my mother followed me! Little I just screamed crying "mom I do not want to be here"
My youth with all the happiness it brought. All the girls I fell in love with.
All the love that resulted in solid relationships!
Farewell in love with crying and despair.
The love of my life where our children came into the world! The happiest moment of my life!
And now I'm Grandpa looking at my grandchildren with same eyes of joy that once saw my own children!
Joe Satriani's "Ten Words" evokes all these memories of my life!

Today thousands can play at insane speed tons of notes per beat, but just a few can express themselves on the six strings like Satriani does.

Remember the god

@Dreinthekitchen

Agreed. Satch and Vai are the reason I love the guitar.

I discovered this song shortly after my father passed from cancer in 2007. Immediately, the guitar hit me and before I knew it, the song was over- no lyrics. So I went in search on the internet to find everything I could about it and somewhere I read that "if you could tell someone something in 10 words, what would that be?" And just like that, this song reached my soul and comforted me in what I say was most difficult time of my life. If I ever get to meet Joe, I know what 10 words I would say to him, and to dad- you know what 10 words I would say to you. Til we meet again.

I cry everytime I hear it. This song reminds me of my girlfriend that passed away. Hell I'm crying now. Such feeling in a guitar riff. I play it with my band sometimes and every time I cry.
