I Wanna Be with You

But why do you have to act like a fool
I know what you are doing
Ignoring all my texts
I know what you are doing
You try to make me mad
It's about that night
When I kissed with a boy
And know it's been days since you called
Me
Back
I'm trying to be patient with you
But why do you have to act like a fool
You're my best friend
I don't want to ruin that
You're on my right side
Talk every day and night
But whyyyyyy
Are you so upset
You said you didn't love me
And I didn't love you back
I'm trying to be patient with you
I'm trying to be patient with you
I'm trying to be patient with you
But why do you have to act like a fool
In Joey C. Jones's song "I wanna be with you", the lyrics are about a complicated relationship between two close friends. The singer is trying to be patient with the other person despite their foolish behavior. The other person is ignoring the singer's texts and is trying to make the singer mad by their actions. The song suggests that the other person is upset over a kiss that happened between the two of them.
The singer explains that the other person ran to the door after the kiss, even though they had said they were okay with it. It has been days since the other person has called back, and the singer is trying to understand why they are behaving this way. Although the singer does not want to ruin their friendship, it is clear that there are feelings involved that have not been addressed.
The song's lyrics capture the frustration and confusion that can occur in a complicated relationship. While the singer wants to be patient with their friend, they are questioning why they are acting foolishly and not communicating. The song highlights the pain that can come when someone is unsure of their feelings or is not being truthful.
