Void
Johari Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I can see my story
Searching to find someone to know me
I can see you're learning
Waiting to find out who you really are

I can SEE my story
So deeply entangled in your own
I can SEE our journey
Waiting to see if we belong
Wandering alone

I can see my story
I can believe in what you wanted to be

I can see you now
I can believe you now
I can see our story
Waiting to find out who we really are

Wandering alone here
Wandering alone here

Wandering alone here
Wandering alone here

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Johari's song "Void" seem to be about the search for self-discovery and connection with others. The first verse speaks about the singer's desire to be known and understood, as well as the realization that others are on a similar journey of self-discovery. The line "I can see my story, so deeply entangled in your own" suggests that the singer sees a connection between their personal experience and that of others, as if everyone's stories are interwoven.

The second verse continues with this theme of searching and waiting for belonging. The repetition of the phrase "Wandering alone" emphasizes the sense of isolation and perhaps even confusion that can come with this search. But the lyrics also express hope and belief, both in oneself and in others: "I can believe in what you wanted to be", "I can see you now, I can believe in you now". The idea that one's own story and journey are connected to those of others highlights the importance of empathy and understanding in building relationships and finding a sense of purpose.

Overall, "Void" is a reflective and introspective song that speaks to the universal human experience of seeking connection and meaning in life.

The one part almost sounds more like "wanting belong" but I think you are correct in putting it as "wanting to belong"

Good job though. Better then I could of done at a first pass.
